If you could see me sitting here at my desk, freely allowing my work to be frequently interrupted by a black cat who, if he is not clawing at the back of my chair is leaping up to my lap, draping himself across my shoulders, strolling across the keyboard, lounging atop the monitor, opening desk drawers and removing things that ought to remain put, wandering here and there knocking objects that ought to stay put to the floor, then you would understand that I have a particular fondness for black cats and that I would advise anyone who set out to invite a black cat to come and live with them to stick resolutely to their purpose.
That said, I now depart from my own position and commend you for choosing Celocatra, who, I am certain, is even more beautiful than was her ancient namesake who drifted and seduced along the Nile, bringing both love and torment to the mighty Roman Empire.
Yes, Cleocatra is a mysterious and beautiful cat, certain to take captive all those who enter the house that she herself never leaves, except, perhaps, for special occassions, under escort, with body guards.
Got to go! The black cat is making demands upon me! He can not be refused!

Cleo would like to thank the Academy... :) Seriously though, Cleo is overwhelmed by all her warm accolades and good wishes!! But it was hard explaining to her why her being COTD coincided with her having to go to the vet :eek: for her yearly shots! Well I told her I had no idea today was her day! Nevertheless she's one happy kitty and insists I send great big hugs to all the special kitties out there, and their wonderful people!!
P.S. She sends an extra hug out to "Zippy Cat" who struck her as particularly debonaire :D
