YES!!!!!!!
GO MARK!!!! :D :D :D
I'm a #8 fan but I also pull for Mark, my mom is a BIG BIG BIG fan of Mark. I would also like to see him win the championship, he deserves it, hes such a good and honest driver...GO MARK!!! :D
GO GO MARK MARTIN! I love you #6!
He's the man! :D
I'll be rooting for #20 to go all the way again this year:D
GO TONY!
Go Tony!!
If my plans work out, I may be going to California Speedway February 26!! Here's hoping!!!
Evidently Chad Knaus didn't get the message last year. The #48 crew chief has been escorted from the Daytona International speedway for rules violations. Were the fine and points deductions last year not enough notice?

GO MARK !!!
Congrats for winning the poles and we'll be cheering you on tonight in the IROC and Truck race. :D :) :D
5 points for leading and a pretty good finish....I'll take it.

I was pretty jazzed they started the Busch Race with the B-1 bomber-but I missed the start of Sunday's race-What flew over???
This is a ? that has bothered me for a while....
Winston bowed out of sponsorship because of the furor of smoking- But Busch still sponsors Nascar racing..
The way I figure it-
It takes longer to kill yourself with a ciggie than it does driving drunk..
Plus, why can't the Busch brothers cash in on a sponsorship deal?
 ;) :D
I am a very happy NASCAR fan this weekend! :D
:p Yeah whatever:DQuote:

This family as always is cheering on Bobby Labonte again this year. Go Cheerios car!
Wow,
what a great finish in Las Vegas...
------------------
Anna,
Be a good sport....we still got some racing to do.. ;)
And how's about those Thunderbirds?
If you get a chance go see them do an airshow!
An F-16 in afterburner is equal to a green flag start!
Yes, it was a very good finish. I was standing up hollering "Go, Matt!" I wish he could have pulled it off. It was a good race.
I saw Carl Edwards last night on a late night talk show. Can't think of the host's name. Its that Scottish guy. Anyway, he did really well on the show and seems so nice and has a good personality. He and the host had me laughing. Love Carl!!!
Yes, Anna, be a good sport;) :p
Oh :p you two leave me alone;):DQuote:

Confession time?
I turn up the sound really loud during the Nat'l Anthem, so I can get at least a little buzz off of the planes flying over......
And I am always in awe that we can do that.
What a great place we live in.
GO MARK! :D
Congradulations to Bill Lester and Bill Davis Racing. Bill Lester becomes the first african american driver to qualify for a NASCAR race since Willy T Ribbs in 1986. The difference this time? Bill Lester is a top rate driver who actually has a shot and is more than a diversity figurehead.
Kudos to Waste Management and BDR to giving him a chance in the cup series.
Hehehe..yes, we have to have someone to pick on, Anna and you are so much fun to do that with;) :p
Richard, I absolutely love the fly overs. They give me chills when I'm there in person. I'll be thinking of you everytime that they have a fly over now..lol. One of these days I'm going to have to go to an Air Show. I bet that is really cool!
I just want to add that Bobby Hamilton has announced that he has cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. He will be going through radiation and chemo. I pray that all will be ok for him.
GO, MARK!!!!
GO MATT, CARL, GREG AND JAMIE!!
I am a "Roushketeer"!! :p ;)
That is what my friend calls me. At least I think he is my friend..lol. He says it like its a dirty word...lol..but I like it :p :D ;)
Yep, I'm a ROUSHKETEER!
Okay, Mark, time to slow down a little. From 10th to 1st in 14 laps isn't racing, it's showing off! :p
Early prediction for the 2007 NCTS champion.....
Driver of the #6 Scotts Ford F-150, Mark Martin.
DONE!Quote:

Think of a whole day of chills and adrenaline-think of your co-workers/family having to listen to you talk about it for a week afterwards.
The worst part of it?
Watching from the ground and thinking about what it would be like to fly, just like that. :D ;)
You gus better be nice to Anna...so whatif Tony has started out the best this year....wasn't it about June last year? There's lots of racing left sports fans!!!
Go TONY!!
WHHOOOO HOOOO!
The Golden Corral 500 results.
1) Kasey Caine (sp)
2) Mark Martin WWOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
3) Dale Jr. GO BOY GO!!
I am a happy person today.
Too bad I couldn't see it on TV.
Not a bad finish for Tony...I would have rather watched on TV, but it did giveme something to listen to at work!!
Yep, I'll take that 2nd place finish for Martin!! Made me happy :D . I sure did hate that Carl Edwards had such a crappy day. Geesh, I was getting aggravated. Then Bobby Labonte! Man, I almost felt like turning the stupid tv off. Then Matt Kenseth had something go wrong but he recovered somewhat so I can live with that.
I'm happy for Anna and Mark cause I know that they think Kasey is a little cutie. Yep, even Mark thinks he's a cutie...hehehehe :p
Now, Amy, we are just teasing Anna and we didn't say anything bad about Tony at least not on here;) :p .
Well, as her fellow Tony fan, I have to stick up for Anna regardless!!Quote:

Ohhh and did anyone happen to catch that Kyle Petty finished 9th and even got interviewed! Go Kyle (my husbands favorite driver, he knew if he waited long enough Kyle would get good again;))!!!
  Grrrrrr, Brandon (my son) is going to Bristol this weekend! Ohh, I'm so jealous!!! All week long I've been telling Alden that I wanted to go and today Brandon calls and says "Guess What?". LOL...That little brat! :p ;)
He's taking our car, our radio and headphones, our nextel cup seat cushions, my ticket pass holder thingy, our Mark Martin Flag, my camera, our binoculars, even asked if we had had any good martin shirts and hats he can borrow, but is he taking me....NO!!!!
I'm so happy for him. I know how much it means to him to see Mark Martin race again. Especially since this is his actual last year..lol. Brandon is so excited and happy and Alden and I got the biggest kick listening to him. That boy is so wound up! Of course I told him that I was not speaking to him for awhile now. I need some time to get over the fact that he would rather go with his girlfriend and not his mother :p ;) .
If he gets any good pics I'll try to post them.
Go Mark Martin!!!
Ad me to the jealous list!! I just told Ralph about a week ago, someday, I really want to go to a race at Bristol. Someday....

Well, Brandon is on his way home and he said it was an exciting finish. He predicted before he left that Kurt Busch would win  . I hate knowing that he is on the road after being up since 4am to get there and then heading straight home. He was actually going to try and make it to work  . He works midnights. Hmm, do you think he will just call in;). I hope he got some good pictures for me.
And..once again I was hollering at the tv(I'm such a goof) when Kurt was right on Matt's butt. I kept saying..."Don't you do it! Don't you dare bump him"...LOL. Knew he would do it. Aww, thats Bristol, Bump and Run, Baby!!
Also, got a kick out of Jeff Gordon losing his temper..lol. I'll bet the crowd was booing like crazy when Busch won and cheering like crazy when Matt spun Gordon out. I"ll be sure and ask Brandon about it. It reminded me so much of the first time I went to Bristol and saw Dale Earnhardt bump Terry Labonte out of the way and won the race.
Hmmm, I think I'm a bit addicted to NASCAR...LOL
Any one see the pre race accedent that killed a guy? just caught a breif thing didn't catch names
Yes, I did. His name was Paul Dana. So very sad. I might be wrong but I think he drove for the Rahal/Letterman team.
Didn't see the accident, but evidently he failed to slow for a car spinning on the track at Homestead and rear ended the other car at 200+ MPH.
A sad day for the IRL, and all of racing.
He drove for Rahal/Letterman, and Buddy Rice and Danica Patrick (his teammates) were withdrawn from the race in the afternoon.
I just did heare the guy he hit is going to be ok and is in hospital still. Carpenter? something like that.
Here is a very revealing (and somewhat sad) article on the accident at Homestead:
http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/column...d=1&id=2385343
The jist of the article is that Dana got the ride because he was an excellent spokeman and was able to land sponsorship in a series where sponsorship, not driving skill, determine who gets the ride.
I saw the clips of the crash and it made me literally sick to my stomach.
God rest his soul.

Who was that maniac driving the 24 car last weekend? ;)
I went to a race and a boxing match broke out?
Short tracks really rule! :D
Gordon was fined $10,000. What do you guys think? Do you think he should have been fined?
I don't think they should have fined him for the push, as it happened in the pits.
If something had taken place on the track, they shouldn't fine drivers either. If it happens while under caution or on pit road they should just pull the driver's license for the rest of the year.
But with How Many MILLIONS of Fans *watching*??Quote:

Sitting out a couple of races  might change some attitudes for the better.
;)
What brought NASCAR into millions of living rooms started with the 1979 Daytona 500. Everyone was snowed in, and fans and novices got to watch an incredible race, a race that had bumping, banging, and Cale Yarborough and Donny Allison fist fighting at the end of the race. No one had a problem with that in 1979, and I dare say the only ones who REALLY have a problem with it now is NASCAR while they're trying to build a corporate image.
Drivers are going to get into each others heads on the track. Just like scuffles between linesmen in an NFL game between plays, as long as it doesn't get out of hand, who cares?
As long as it's fisticuffs in the pits post race, let boys be boys. My problem is when they take it out on each other on the track. At Martinsville and Bristol, it's part of the race and no one is really going to get hurt. At any longer track, a driver using his car as a weapon needs to be parked immediately, possibly for the rest of the season.Fines don't mean a damned thing when it's a 10K fine for a driver who made $130K for finishing 22nd.
