I would like to send PT prayers to those trapped miners in this Sago mine disaster in West Vrginia. There are 13 miners trapped underground and time is running out. I know PT prayers can work miracles. This disaster is a little too close to home.

How tragic! My thoughts and prayers are with the miners and their families!!
God bless the miners and their families. My prayers and thoughts rest with them.
I hope and pray for a good outcome, it is very scary.
I've been praying for them since I heard about this yesterday. Sure doesn't look good right now. :(
Prayers on the way here, too!
I was born in Buckhannon, WV and grew up near there. My mom and dad know two of the people trapped inside. My mom's closest friend's husband and son work there but thankfully were off of work when the explosion happened.
I WANT TO SEND PRAYERS FOR THOSE TRAPPED MINERS. THEY ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS!!!
:( Sad...
I heard about this this morning while I was driving to work...it has to be so scary in there for those men.
I'll keep them in my prayers.
Thanks for making a thread for them.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of them :(
Thoughts and prayers are on the way! That is so sad. GOOD LUCK TO THOSE POOR MINERS! :(
Prayers going out for the miners and their families.
thank you for making this thread, I used to know one of miners.
prayers/thoughts definitely are sent from here, new york - I sure hope everyone is allright. :(
12 are alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone else watching?!
A miracle indeed!
Wow! That's excellent. I had seen the update that one body was found, I'm off to check CNN now - no update there. Tonya, where did you see the 12 still alive part?
Yes, I'm checking the CNN website too - it has yet to be updated. (They have it listed on Yahoo news though.)Quote:

edit - found, only one died, glad there weren't more! I thought I heard 19 somewhere.. now my thoughts are with them for their godspeed recovery! and prayers to the families who have lost this gentleman. :(
I was just watching CNN about a minute ago and they reported that twelve of those thirteen miners have died in the mine. There was one survivor and he is in critical condition. There was some sort of miscommunication between the the mining company and the press, reporting they were still alive. My heart and prayers go out to the families of those twelve miners.

:( :( :(
I can't get back to sleep and just turned on the tv...
I am stunned. Absolutely, stunned. Those poor, poor people. My heart goes out to all of them. :(
Heard the same on the news over here........can't imagine what those poor families are going through to go from elation to despair in such a short space of time. Sending prayers to everyone caught up in this tragedy
Our prayers are with all those families.
I stayed up late enough last night to see the good news . . . THEY'RE ALIVE, THEY'RE ALIVE . . . I was so happy, I could hardly sleep. I lay awake for hours thinking about them, their families . . . thanking God for sparing their lives. Then I woke this morning to the horrible and tragic news.
All but 1 DEAD.
OMG.
I am completely in shock.
This hits sooooo close to home. Literally hours from home. Mining is all around here . . . a big part of KY & WV . . . just a way of life.
I just hate that this has happened . . . I hate that these families have had to endure this roller coaster ride . . . and I feel that the media circus has not helped matters.
Prayers for the families.
What a horrible thing the families are going through. From joy to such sadness! I just can't imagine what that would be like. My prayers are going out to these families. I just feel so bad for them. They were so happy for such a short time, and then to hear such bad news and be let down like a ton of bricks like that! Just awful, awful.
I will be praying for these families.
Willie :(
How terrible. :( My sympathies to those families.
My heart and prayers go out to the families. What a tragedy - to go from such excitement to such disappointment. I kept hoping for a miracle, since the same thing happened in PA a few years ago and every single miner came out alive.
I was hoping also, Jen. Why couldn't they have found out if it were true before letting the miner's families know?? To me this was inexcusable.Quote:

I know, it's uncalled for. (Not to mention I can't stand Geraldo). These people are going through enough. Sometimes I hate the media :(Quote:

So tragic:( My heart goes out to the families.
I can't stand him either. Sometimes I think he comes to these news events just for his own publicity.Quote:

Get your tissues ready. :(
Zipster, I only got half way through and had to close it down. A little too emotional for me first thing in the morning. I'll take another look at it later today. Thanks for posting and my prayers go out to the families.
