Getting a new rescue pup!

On Saturday my family and I went to look at a 12 1/2 week old female BC pup at the pound here.

We're getting her, but now it is just a matter of WHEN because she has had a bad case of kennel cough and we don't want to put Mickey at risk.

Her name at the pound is Marlie, but we are changing it to Molly. Her left eye is blue, the right is brown.

If she shows improvement on Wednesday, we are picking her up then.

PLEASE say a prayer or two for her!

What a beautiful thing to do. I'm sure she's going to love having a nice home for the holidays. She's a doll!

Finally!!! ;)

OMG, she's adorable! I love her eyes... and her markings and expression look a lot like Gonzo (and the airplane ears). I really hope she can come home with you before X-mas! If worse comes to worse, couldn't you keep them seperated until she gets all better? I don't believe kennel cough is contagious in the final stages. Gonzo was around 2 puppies with kennel cough, from the pound, and he never got it because they were recovering from it at the time.

I can't wait to see more pics of her growing up! Good luck with the little rascal! She really looks like a working-bred BC, I'm sure she'll be a fire-cracker like my little boy. You're going to have your hands FULL, but they're so worth it.

GOOD NEWS!! Her nose has cleared up and we're getting her tomorrow! Thank you to everyone who said a prayer for her!

He was last year, but he hasn't been due this year for his shots. In the first week of January.

Good for you to rescue a puppy! :) Molly is a great name ;) My toy poodle's name is Molli. She is a very beautiful puppy, with stunning eyes. She will be happy to have a home for the holidays!

I think the kennel cough vaccine is only good for 6 months.

thats great news that your getting her, aww christmas pup(for some one that actually knows how to take care of a pupp unlike stupid people..) cant for new pics!!!! i hope her blue eye shows up in the camera and now flashy like in her pound picture

That is so wonderful! I am very happy for you. Get well soon Molly! Also, is she mixed with husky? I thought only huskies could have that eye coloring! Correct me if I'm wrong. Either way she is BEAUTIFUL! I hope you can bring her home. She'll have a wonderful home for the holidays!

lol! Gosh, no.. Border Collies.. wow.. they come in so many different shapes, sizes and colours!! :D

I and many other members on a BC rescue I am a member on all agree she is purebred, as do the volunteers at the pound. They say she is approx. 4 months, but she looks small for 4 months and still has all of her baby teeth, so I'm guessing 3-3 1/2 months. :)

Sorry, I got confused. I know alot about dogs but not that much! I would never call myself and EXPERT for that reason. Anyway, she looekd like a purebred to me. I never knew they can have different I coloring. That's so cooL!

Lots of different breeds can have blue, green, gold, etc. eye coloring. Huskies, Aussies, BCs, Corgis, and even Harlequin Great Danes can have them as well as several other breeds. :)
