i need your expertise! what kind of mix have i got?

this is my first time posting on this forum. i'm also a first time dog owner. i've lived with other people's dogs, but this is my first baby.

according to our vet, she's a toy fox terrier. i don't think she's pure anything...

i'm just curious to see what anyone here thinks her mix is. she was a stray that my husband and i adopted from our neighbors almost a year ago.

from floor to the top of her head she's about fourteen inches tall. if you add ears it jumps up to around 16 1/2. from nose to tail she's about 20 inches long. her front legs are a little... bowed? yes, she's a little bow-legged. her belly is covered with dark spots, too.

i don't care if she's 100% mutt. it's just that everyone has such a varied opinion of what she might be made out of, you know?

any ideas would be much appreciated.

She looks an awful lot like a Jack Russell Terrier. She's very cute regardless.

She really doesn't have the head of a Fox Terrier :confused:

I personally think she resembles a Rat Terrier the most...

I think she is pretty much pure bred. Either toy fox terrier or rat terrier. I don't really see any jack russel, for one, her legs are long, and jacks have very short legs

Definitely purebred Toy Fox Terrier, albeit she's probably a poorly bred one ;)

I'd say purebred, even the little bit of bowleggedness is a trait of a toy fox terrier. She doesn't look poorly bred to me. Did anybody ever try finding the owners? The tail is docked- which means she had owners at one time.

She has definetly got some Fox Terrier in her. And maybe some Jack Russell and Rat Terrier.

I'd also say Toy Fox Terrier. I have a purebred Rat Terrier and her nose is not as long as your pups. Definitely Fox Terrier.

I don't know if you can see Sadie's nose, but it is not as long.

I think Rat Terrier/Jack Russel. He looks ALOT like my rat terrier that passed away a couple months ago :( but yours has a longer snout. He's a cutie! I bet he's quite the energetic little bugger too! Mine sure was! :)
