Cadeau is dying :(

Cadeau is about 15yr old & her body is giving out. Rob's mom called today saying she couldn't get her back end up & when she did, her back end would fall. Shes in no pain at all, so she won't be PTS. They don't care if she has accidents on the cloor (its a tile floor, it was put in for the dogs).

We have to go down for xmas (23-27) & we know she'll either pass away while we're there or shortly after.

This couldn't have come at a worse time for me. Its nearly Max's deathday (13th) & now Cadeau is near her end. Whats with all the dogs that I love, dying near xmas :(

I was told shes still super happy, shes in no pain. Shes been going downhill all year. But aslong as her organs remain healthy, she'll still be here.

Cadeau has the sweetest face. What a doll. How heartbreaking it is for you to see her like this. (((((HUGS)))))

Jess, I am so sorry. :( Having to just make the decision to let one go, it hurts even more to hear that Cadeau is not doing well. The positive part is that Cadeau has had such a long, happy life and is still not in pain. Our Murphy was 15 as well.

The decission was made to let Cadeau pass on at the house. The vets office is WAY too stressfull on her. Unless she starts crying or something horrible is happening to her, shes going to go where she feels safe.

I just hope she doesn't pass on while I'm down there. I don't think I can handle it this soon.

Im glad she will go where she is happy..and not at the vets, sorry for the impening loss...sad to lose any time of the year :(

If shes still around when I go down for xmas, she better be ready for the photo shoot of her life. I plan to take a lot, as I did like her quite a bit & lived with her for nearly 5yrs.

I'm so sorry to hear this. She looks very sweet and is very pretty. At least you know to truly cherish and appreciate the time that you have with her when you're with her. Not everyone knows to make that time extra special.

How very sad. I hope that when her time comes, she passes peacefully in her sleep. :(

Jess I'm so sorry to hear this. I know how hard it was on you when Max died and to think of Cadeau dying now is so heart breaking.
I hope all goes well when you visit and please share some of the pictures you take with us.

I know how you feel, Christmas is an AWFUL time to loose somebody. On of my good friends, and fellow classmates died on Christmas 3 years ago...

I hope you get to spend some time with sweet Cadeau before she passes away, but know she has lived as a loved dog.
