I just went to Dogsters website. They spelled Kiara's name wrong on the homepage. You may want to contact them and notify them. They spelled it Kaira.

That's so cool! Thanks for the congrats everyone. I really didn't think we'd win much.

I've e-mailed them about the prizes... to be honest the prizes they gave me I won't have much use out of.

The dog food - cool, but I don't feed my dogs that and don't know of anyone who does (not even the shelters near me would accept that)
Wine - I'm under the legal drinking age and don't know anyone who drinks wine!

The photoshoot and Nintendo, cool... However I betcha the photoshoot would be a disaster if someone other than me did it. Kiara would be so scared! :p

Ah.. I guess we'll see how everything works out. It's still cool to win something atleast. :D

edited: and, maybe your shelter won't take the food, but, i'm sure there's a privately run or maybe needier shelter that wouldn't mind a lower grade of food being provided at no cost. i'm sure it would help someone out.

Kay, perhaps you could pick a shelter that is doing a lot of hurricane Katrina relief and have the food shipped to them instead. Local shelters around me (North Florida) do a lot of hurricane relief and if you'd like I can help you find a reputable shelter/rescue/humane society that will wisely use it (some places go right back and sell or throw away your donations).

Or maybe they can write you a check for the amount that the food would cost so you can buy a better food :p

I know I was looking at the food earlier and all of their formulas have corn as their main ingredient. And the rest of the ingredients were just as bad. I was kind of upset that Dogster would support a food like that.

Congrats, Kfamr! I was gonna start a thread for you since I was just on dogster/catser and saw the name and I immediately knew it was you! I just joined that site so I didn't know about the contest. But anyhow I see that MANY already knew that you won, so I'll just say my congrats here! And, Phred said it right -- YOU would do a better job with the photo shoot than another photographer would - your photo work is so amazing. Congrats!!
