My precious one is gone

(*Posting here because most of you know me through my dogs)

:( Some of you know I had an elderly cat, ChowChow. His health has been failing all year, and this morning I had him euthanized. I'm so so sad. I brought Star in to say goodbye, as she has been with ChowChow her whole life. She wagged her tail as she gently sniffed him, and when I carried him to the car she gave me such a soulful look, I know she knows he's gone. Please say a little prayer for him, I had him for 16 years, and I will miss him so much.

I'm so sorry about ChowChow. My cat, Brando, had to be put down in August. I know just how upsetting this is for someone:( . My thoughts are with you

I'm sorry for your loss. You can take comfort in the fact that he was well cared for and loved all of his life and never had to go hungry or be without a warm place to sleep. Godspeed little kitty, have fun feeling good again until you meet up with your mom at the bridge.

I'm so sorry about Chow Chow. I know the heartache of having to choose to put them to rest. My old Siamese was like that. Just know that Chow Chow is once again young and healthy and will be reunited with you when the time comes.

My heart is full of gratitude for all your messages of sympathy, thank you. It's almost 2:30 am here, I couldn't sleep, kept thinking about Chowdie boy. I miss him. I miss the way he would reach up with his paw and pat my cheek so gently when I'd hold him. I miss his big purr and how he would lay on top of whatever I was doing just to be close by. He used to get behind me on my chair and stretch up to look over my shoulder when I was drawing. I miss his soft fur and his beautiful blue eyes. One of the sweetest memories I have is hearing my older son describe him to his grandma "He's the color of old pearls" he told her, his face glowing. (she's gone now too) We all loved him so much. I'm just rambling, hoping that maybe I'll be able to go to sleep if I tell you all again how wonderful he was.

It's such a sad day, I read about Logan's Murphy passing today too. I guess the Rainbow Bridge is having a busy day. So many new angels to welcome.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Pat. It's never easy, no matter what age they leave you. ChowChow sounded like a very special boy. Know that he's with you in spirit now and will never leave ya.
