Rest in peace, Rosa. You made an enormous difference in the lives of so many.
You will be missed. :(
What a life to have led.

RIP Ms. Parks. You are truly a humanitarian who stood up for your convictions. I admired and highly respected everything you stood for.
A courageous woman....
Rosa Parks was a very brave & courageous lady. If anyone ever thinks
that one person can't make a difference, they should read her life story. :)
She was a very real inspiration for all of us. Rest In Peace dear lady.
RIP Rosa.

When I was a camp counselor the bus driver would pile all the sleeping bags and stuff in the last row and the seat across the back.
I'd lie on top of the stack and wait for the HUGE bump on Little Tunjunga road....You could get serious air-about 3 feet - and land back on top of the pile.
Plus,
If you happened to hook up with one of the gals.......
The back of the bus wasn't such a bad place.
I saw that on the news last night! How sad truly, but she definitely led a full and wonderful life! She will be missed but she is in such a better place now! :)
Rosa Parks was one of the best examples of a person practicing peaceful civil disobedience. From that small gesture of not moving, she started something quite grand.
RIP, Rosa.

It's wierd . . . we had a "living legend" in our community, Ella Ramsey . . . she was a civil rights leader in our area. She died Sunday. She was 100.
A quote from her pastor that was in today's paper:
“Ella Ramsey was one of Ashland's leading citizens,” he said. “She promoted the cause of human and civil rights by both words and example. A leader of her political party, a marcher with Martin Luther King Jr., in Frankfort in 1964, a founder and participant in Martin Luther King Day as celebrated in Ashland, a personal friend to me and a friend to all who knew her ... she will be missed.”
Amazing women.
