Zazou's first catnip-party!

Today Inka found the catnip-box , and begged for some catnip. He he, this was the perfect time then for Zazou's first catnip-party !!

no, Tom and Max eat it too, as does their little pal Dusty when we have an al -fresco session!!

Miss Candy loves to cover herself however from head to toe like a Christmas tree. Then Candy and Tom are a little hyper (as opposed to stoned) and have a good old blackie-fight to finish off the fun.

We refer to it in our house as CATTABIS!!!! lol :D

LOL, Inka is cracking me up. She's having a goooood time.

Ripley likes to eat the nip too but it does have a big effect on him. I'd love to throw a nip party for my guys but I have some mean drunks who get in a fight everytime. Jazz who is usually about the sweetest gets the meanest when she's high on catnip.

All three of your Cats,are in the same area,andno hissing.
That is a good sign,that they are getting used to each others presence,and I ahve always found that that is half the battle.
Eventually they, I pray,will get to be the best of Friends.

All of my girls love the nip and they will sometimes eat it but normally just roll and roll and roll all through it. I have a friend where I used to work, though, that had kitty like your pretty Zazou. Her kitty would eat it like it was a snack but other than that, nip had no effect.

My Tabitha loves to eat it, but she also gets a little stoned from eating. Sasha loves to roll in it.

Sadly, Sasha becomes "a mean drunk" also and she has to be separated from Tabitha at that point because she jumps on her and becomes somewhat aggressive.

I have learned that if I put some in a box and some on the floor, that is best to alleviate the meanness... well, somewhat!

How old is Zazou? I think you sneaked her into your house while I was on holiday! I remember reading somewhere that cats younger than six months weren't really suseptible to catnip. Ours eat it as well, particularly Daisy, but they all enjoy it.

Great pictures.

Shadow doesn't really get any effects from catnip. Callie eats it and does get a little high. Whisper is a MANIAC!! He becomes cranky if another kitty gets a sniff of HIS catnip. He fought with Callie the other day over one of Gary's mice. She had one, he had one...they fought and he had two. :cool:

Amy turns into a brave little thing when she is on catnip and does the attack thing. Giz, I think is the one who eats it without going crazy. They are a hoot to watch.. I need to give mine a nip party before I go back to work.

Nothing like a little 'nip to get the ball rolling!

Every cat I have ever had did 'nip differently. Some sniffed, some ate, others rolled, a few got feisty, one cat always planted her butt smack dab in the middle of the pile, and none were immune to its lure!

I give Archy & Binky EACH a separate little 'stash', otherwise one or the other will hog it. As soon as I get the container out of the drawer, they start meowing like mad.

Love those 'nip parties! (maybe it will be an acquired taste on Zazou's part)

Lightning walks around with a dazed loot on his face, but I don't use regular catnip, just catnip mice. this is Lightning with his newest catnip mousie, enjoying the smell.
