Pet Talk name change?

   A while ago I noticed that the people who own the domain name pettalk.com have started a forum. For a long time they did not have a website there. Subsequently I noticed a thread where one frequent pettalker recommended that someone go to pettalk.com confusing us with them. It is confusing. Perhaps, we should just call these forums the "Pet of the Day Forums?" Or, can you think of a better name?

   If we did have a unique name then I would like to own that .com name.

Would we still be pettalker's? Or would that have to change also?

I'm sure we could still consider ourselves Pet Talkers, Freckles. :)

As for a name suggestion, I'll think on that. :)

This forum existed before the other one, BUT they bought the domain name PetTalk.com long before their forum existed. There is also a syndicated radio show called Pet Talk, which they are related to in a business sense.

Paul, that's a pity with the domain name. :( It seems that the other forum is mostly about dogs - wish they'd agree to call theirs "Dogtalk".

Whatever this forum will be called in the future, I think that all of us will keep referring to this as PT. ;)

Well, I guess it's time to "brainstorm" for a new name. :(

Furry Friends Forum
Pet Lovers Forum
Furkid Forum

If and when a change is made will I have to change my book mark? (sorry I'm not real literate on this thing)

I'm not very computer literate so these things sometimes confuse me. ;)

Yeah I'm sure we would know in advance....if we didn't we would all be extremely confused...but i wish we could just keep this name :(

I was a member of another forum called "pettalk" before I joined here, at the time to prevent confusion in my bookmarks I just called this board "pettalk 2" lol although I admit I have mistakenly typed "www.pettalk.com" when I meant to come here several times lol I like pettalkville lol

It should be something that starts with a T...so that we can still be PT'ers. Hmmm...

It will still be part of the PetoftheDay.com family of websites, and there will still be a link to it - whatever its final name becomes - on the http://PetoftheDay.com , http://CatoftheDay.com and http://DogoftheDay.com homepages.

Dunno, but 8,000 Pet Talkers have managed, for a number
of years, to find THIS Place often enough to post 1.2+ MILLION posts ...

From the looks of "their" web site ...

START with "Pet Talk" and ADD enough to make it legal!

I don't understand why there's a need for change? It seems tons of people are capable of finding the site how it is. :confused:
