It's been almost a year now...

And I'm still trying to find a way to say goodbye to you Angus.

As I laid in bed and talked to you last night, I have to say I've felt better than I have since you left us. Of course just talking to you and thinking about you gets me all leaky eyed, but I think it will always be that way. You were the most perfect boy two people like me and your dad could have. I still wear my necklace with your ashes in it, I never go to bed without it...without you.

I sat here yesterday and looked at about every picture of you I have. You always had such love in your eyes, even in the end when we had to say our final goodbyes and you slipped away into forever sleep. I will never forget that look and you will always hold the most special place in my heart. Nothing will ever bring you back to us, so I look forward to the day that we will meet at the Rainbow Bridgehttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ys/Rainbow.gif


You know when you left, so many people were here for me and your dad. So do me a favor big boy...could you please say HI to all of the PT doggies from their families who miss them too?
I know a lot of them have passed in the last year and their mommies miss them just like I miss you, so please especially say hi to...Hoodoo, Smokey, Binx, Dale, Dana, Canilla, Echo, Dewey, Oreo, Killian, Cody, and Disney and let them know how much they are still loved.

For now this is goodbye...

Anna my eyes are filling up now. I wish I could give you a big (((hug))) because I know how much you miss your big boy. Time does help but it never takes the pain totally away. I do hope that Angus has met up with some of those PT doggies and that they are making friendships there at the Bridge like their humans have done here. I hadn't realized how many of our special dogs had left this past year. Thank you for reminding us with your thread and special (((hugs))) to the humans who loved those dogs so. Dogs lives are way too short and I do think that is their only fault. Angus we miss you.

Oh Anna, I know your beautiful boy Angus will always be loved, and missed terribly! :( Thats a very beautiful prayer to go to Angus first class! :D I'm sure that Tigger is getting along very well with him as well! Many (((((HUGS))))), you made me all teary eyed now!

Angus you big sweetie please check on Merlin , His toys have finally stopped being found out of the toy box. I hope that means he's finally happy there.

We miss you very much, Angus. I take comfort in knowing that you are pain free and playing at the bridge. I know that you have introduced yourself to all of our Rainbow Bridge babies and that you are all having a great big party while you are waiting for your loved ones.

Anna, that was such a special tribute that you wrote. Thank you so much for sharing Angus with us and a special thanks for sharing his pictures with me yesterday. It warmed my heart to see them. Of course you know I have my very own favorite pic of Angus and myself and I'm looking at it right now:) .

Oh Anna and Mark, I know how you are feeling right now. Has it been a year already? My deepest sympathy goes out to you both. They are such a great part of our lives, so that when they leave us, it hurts so much. I know. We have been blessed to have had our beloved dogs in our lives. We are the lucky ones. Hugs to you both.

Angus...
I don't know what to say sweet man. You, your mommy, daddy, little sisters, and brother mean so much to me.

I remember clearly feeding you that can of wet food and how happy you were to take those treats from me in the vet's office. When your mom and dad came home I knew. Kiara knew too, she went right up to your momma no barks or anything, just her tail wagging. Did you tell her to do that? The ride to Robin's was sad, the ride home back to Florida was sad. But i'm so grateful I got to spend time with you. I still think about you regularly and as I type this your bandana lies in my lap.

I know tomorrow is going to be a hard day for those of us who know and love you. I wish I could bring you back with us, although constantly living in our hearts, so we could all give you another hug or two.

Remember when your momma was so worried how you'd react at the dog park, and then you let my silly Nala rest on your legs? I look at those pictures a lot and it makes me smile. I remember sitting under that tree with you, Nala, your mom, dad, sisters, and Amy & Nebo, just relaxing and in such a peaceful state of mind with wonderful people and dogs, all together in harmony.

You are a wonderful, wonderful boy and have given me many smiles through the years, as I'm sure you've given mom & dad.


Give them a nice cuddle from the bride tomorrow, and your sisters and brother, too. I remember everything too clearly.
I had my little moment with you the other day, remember? I was talking to you and wrote your name in the sand with your bandana in my hand. It was such a pretty sunset, too, thank you for sharing it with me.

My heart does really wrench for you today, its a very sad day indeed for everyone who has known, seen and heard about your wonderful Angus. He will always live on, and watch over you all! Many (((((HUGS))))) for you all today! Atta boy Angus, you're a real good boy! :D

As Mark and I were reading your posts, Bon was standing here at our feet trying to wipe his dirty dinner mouth on us:o He's definitely silly and we think that's exactly the reason that Angus sent him to us...to make us laugh and smile.

I haven't shared this with anyone but Robin yet, but one of the reasons that I feel I'm able to handle his passing more is that on Friday I received something in the mail.
I had entered his picture in a calendar contest. Well I had actually forgotten about it until a package was at our door Friday when I got home. I had no idea what it could be and when I opened it there was this lovely letter...

Now tell me, is that a sign or what?! I just felt like a heavy weight was lifted from me. I think it was his sign to me telling me I could move on and not be so sad when I think of him:)

What a great surprise Anna! How wonderful that Angus will be a calendar nest year. That is one I always buy, and now I'll have to get extras!

We still miss you Angus. You were a special boy...always such a big happy smile. Hope you are enjoying your play time at the bridge.

Oh Anna ( tears a coming)...I know how hard it is to just have to say good bye...and there is nothing we can do about it. Thank you for mentioning Dale...it warms my heart to think he is up there playing with Angus and all of the other doggies at the bridge...he was such a mama's boy, that I worried that he would feel alone up there w/o me...but I know that is just silly :)

I am glad to know that you are feeling better ...

I know that having Harlee has made the transition of losing Dale so much easier...Dale would have loved her so much. So I am happy to know that Bon makes you laugh and enjoy life...things that Angus surely would love to see :)

We watched an old home movie the other day, and my boy was in it...his big silly self...and of course, this mama cried...but we laughed at him too...he was such a goof ball :)

Anyway, enjoy the happy memories and your other puppers (as I know you do already)...I know the goofiness that the adolescent dog years can bring...been there with Dale and Harlee is young too...Bon will soon turn into the gentleman that Angus was...but he has some big shoes to fill ;)

Oh Anna, that was beautiful...I remember the day Angus died last year, and it just tore me up to see such a sweet, beloved dog pass away...and even though Bon will never take Angus' place, he is always there for you to remind you of all the love Angus is sending you from above!:)

That's AWESOME Angus got on a calendar!!! What a wonderful memorial to him!!;)
