So excited!
Some of you may know that I entered Minette's portrait in an art gallery across the street from my house. Ok, TECHNINALLY, its down one block, over one black, but close enough that I can walk to it without breaking a sweat in 99 degree weather! ;) :D
Anyhow, tonight is the gallery opening. I went for two minutes, primarily to see WHERE my artwork was located. I have been praying all week that they did not position it in the office or powder room (yes, they actually put artwork for sale in the powder room! :eek: ) I went in hoping and praying it would be in the main gallery.... never did I expect it to be where it was.....

BY THE ENTRANCE!!! As you enter the gallery, you look straight ahead, and there she is!!!!! Woohoo! Happy dance!
Does this mean that they feel its one of their best pieces? They wouldn't place something truly bad as you enter. OMG.... what if I SELL it!? I'm so happy and excited I'm ready to burst!

I'd buy it for $195 :D It is an awesome bit of artwork. The eyes are the best, although I really do love the detail work you did on the fur too.
It sounds like the gallery has a good eye for talent. I've noticed that some places will focus more on the artists who donate to them the most rather than the artists who have the most talent. :p

Boy, if I thought I was excited before....
Mom and I walked over to the gallery today. The lady said she's had A LOT of interest. More so than any other piece! (insert MAJOR hapy dance here)
PLUS, the picture I did of Angel was up front of the bins where the artwork that is just matted and wrapped in plastic. That means that somebody was looking at her and was interested. (insert another major happy dance here)
Now I'm REALLY thinking it's going to sell!!!! Of course, now that I'm so excited, I'd be devastated if it doesn't sell!)
