I'm New

HI!! I'm new. I hate Peta. And I hate to hunt. I am a little off. You could say I am a couple fries short of a happy meal. I have 2 Shi tzus, 2 rescued cats, 3 degus, 2 gardener snakes, 1 turtle, 1 fish, 50 tadpoles, 20 snails, 1 bunny and I think thats all. I cant keep track of all my pets. My name is Kyrie' from northern Minnesota. In a stupid crappy town of Thief River Falls. ( Sorry to the people from Thief River but our town sucks).

A degu is a cross between a chinchilla and a guinepig. To me they look more like a rat and chinchilla mix but brown.

It's not a cross between a chinchilla and guinea pig. Those two can't interbreed. ;) Degus are a rodent cousin of the chinchilla. They do though, resemble an oversized gerbil or guinea pig/squirrel combo. Their about the size of a full grown male rat, with agouti coloring. Meaning brown and cream hairs mixed together, with black ticking at the top. This is the natural color of most wild rodents.

If you do a search for "degu" you will find plenty of photos of my rainbow bridge boy Peanut. :)
