Shiny as a new penny
I gave the pups baths today outside and then they dried in the sun while playing. Tommy's coat was just gleaming like a burnished copper penny and I had to get a couple pics of his shining coat in the sun! Sorry they are a bit large, I'm in the middle of a ton of projects and just took a quick break to look at my pictures, and couldn't resist posting these!

New penny is a perfect description of that amazing color. I bet he smells good too.
We like to give outdoor baths in summer as well. I use those plastic storage bins and then cart out hot water and fill with cold from the hose. One tub for wash and one for rinse. :rolleyes:
Lots of work but at least I don't have a major project of cleaning up the bathroom afterwards.

Tommy thanks everyone for the compliments! Mom was worn out (and sunburned :o) and didn't end up checking back yesterday!
Staci, don't you just love that pretty red coat in the sunshine, especially just after a bath! :) Keegie girl seems almost the same shade of red as Tommy so I bet her coat really gleams that coppery red too!
Julie, I was thinking about Daisy yesterday while he was playing. I bet they'd have so much fun splashing around together :D. Tommy sends smoochies to his sweetheart Daisyl! :)
Annette, his butt always gets really wavy and fuzzy after a bath, it is just so cute! I'm sure he isn't too thrilled about me posting a picture of his butt though :D
Rachel, I just use the garden hose as long as it's really sunny and warm out. Tasha still shivers some if the water is cold (plus she shivers because she doesn't like baths), but afterwards she warms right up. Tommy is pretty unaffected by cold water, which is not surprising since he's a retriever! It is nice not to have to worry about scrubbing and cleaning up the tub afterwards that's for sure!

Hi there, Tommy boy!! My goodness what a gorgeous coat you have. So pretty and so shiney! You also look so soft. I love the fuzzy butt shot and wanted to reach in and give you a good scratching. My girls love it when I give them a good scratching right there.
