Is this what you call a dog? *pics*

Lately, I'm not so sure Riley is a dog! She likes to play the victim. Sometimes when I toss balls for her to catch she just lets them hit her like I'm throwing grenades at her face. It's not like I'm throwing them hard, I toss them to her from 6 feet away! What kind of dog (esp. retriever) lets this happen?? LOL

I think she's selective as to what balls she wants to catch or not. Perhaps she doesn't like green tennis balls?

She loves to play fetch inside the house, any kind of ball will do. But sometimes if she doesn't want to fetch, she'll just sit there and let them hit her. This is the 3rd or 4th time she's done it.

I think Riley is lady's long lost half sister. Lady does the same thing, even with food!

Oh may. i laughed so hard at your story and pictures. because Kirby does the exact samething! but in his case its even worse yet... i toss popcorn at him for him to catch and all he does is close his eyes like an idiot and wait for it to hit him on the head or face...LOL or sometimes he ducks/doges it. and then gives me dirty look :rolleyes: :o

Ok, I don't know why, but, she looks like the kid, Bobby, from "King of the Hill" in this picture. Again, not sure why, but, she totally looks like him to me. I seriously was almost in tears laughing at these pics, she's so cute!

lol.. soo....why do you keep pelting her with the ball? lol my girls would never do that, they can move lighting fast to get a ball, people are always very suprised, and I am always suprised that people find it suprising lol I am so used to BCs that I cant imagine a dog not bolting like lighting to grab a ball no matter how tired they are lol totally foregin to me! well exept for Happys dad, he is not the brightest dog around..ok he is VERY stupid, he can catch a ball in flyball and he loves food, lightly toss a treat to his mouth and he just sits there, does not even try to get it(and no that is not the only reason he is rather dumb lol you would have to meet him, he is dumb, not exactly pretty, does not have a shred of herding instinct, and is blind is one eye, basicly not much going for him other then he produces really good dogs when bred to a working BC, nearly all his kids run under 4 seconds, he on the other hand is slow lol)

That is very funny. They can be very stubborn sometimes can't they? If they don't want to catch the ball, they aren't going to. :)
