We're HOME!!! (lots of pictures)

Well...its been a LOOONNNNGGGGG day!! We started at 9:00 a.m. and finished for the day at around 8:30 p.m. It was really hot...and of course going up and down stairs all day enabled us to eat WHATEVER we want for a few days. ;)

I'm extreemly blessed by my family and friends (that includes my PT friends/family)!!! I can't even express my gratitude for all everyone did for me. I had SO MUCH stuff to move.

Here are a few pictures of the day...I'll post another thread when I have the place together.

I got the camera out after we'd started moving stuff from the truck into the new place. It was soooo cute...my brother was gone for a little bit and when my mom when to the truck, she found this at the bottom of my stairs:

I brought Micah over first. He is not a "port-o-prision" kind of guy...nor does he have an ounce of patience in his little body. He was thrilled to see his familiar cat tree:

I then went back to the old place to get Noah, Basie, Jonah and Phoebe...they stayed in the bathroom for a few hours until it was quiet and we went to dinner.

Surprisingly, Noah did the best out of the four...I was shocked!

When I moved from Magdeburg last year, it was taking too long to carry all the boxes down 4 stories of stairs so my (now ex) and I let the boxes with clothes and stuff just slide down ;) it took no time!

the kittys all look tuckered out :) hope they enjoyed their kitty naps :) congrats on the move!!

Kelly your new place is GORGEOUS! It looks like the babies settled in pretty quickly. It usually takes days for them to settle down and they look pretty relaxed already. That's great!
I have that same computer desk that you ordered. You will love it. It's big enough to hold everything but yet not to bulky.

Ugh...did I mention how much my entire body HURTS? Ow...

We REALLY lucked out yesturday. While it was pretty warm, its 102 today!!! :eek: I'm so glad all I have to do is inside stuff...with my air conditioner working. ;)

The cats are still unsure today. Lots of meowing...I've never heard such vocal cats!! Poor things! I put some Rescue Remedy in their water today, hopefully that'll help.

I gave Jonah and Basie some Clomicalm last night...they're both asleep under the bed.

Alright...just mixed some Clomicalm into Noah, Micah and Phoebe's wet food. Hopefully that'll make them feel a little better.

The entire place looks awesome, but I have to admit, I'm partial to the Roman Tub! I'd be in there so often, I'd look like a prune! Glad the kitties are calming down and settling in. Moving is an adjustment for critters and hoomans!

Thanks for the nice comments, guys!! I'm feeling so lucky to be able to live here. Its such a nice town (this is where Jessica Simpson lives!!) and I feel so safe...so together here.

My brother, Kevin, and his girlfriend Krista came by today to check on me. It was nice chatting with them and showing Krista the place.

Then, Mom came by and helped unpack and organize. She's a great help and has a ton of good ideas! She brought me some new kitchen towels, cleaning supplies, my favorite Chocolate Rice Cakes, and a shower curtain, pole and rings. :) Oh!! She also brought me two more new pillows and some gorgeous pale green pillow cases!

After we unpacked most of the boxes, we headed to Target where she bought me a new floor lamp, two trash cans, a new table/basket thingy, a really nice bathmat for the bathroom and some kitty litter. Then we headed to Home Depot to make a bunch of spare keys and four patio chairs.

I treated her to dinner at Baja Fresh and dessert at Cold Stone. It was nice chatting and eating yummy food.

We then came back and watched the finale of Desperate Housewives while putting together the floor lamp, removed the stickers from the chairs and trashcans and situated the new table/basket thingy. It was a really nice day and I got spoiled to death!

Now that its quieter, the cats are out with me. Even Basie came out from under the bed to check out the place. Slowly but surely, they'll feel more at home.

What a lovely home!!! Congrats Kelly!!! The tub is wonderful! Funny thing is, it was always my DREAM to have a tub like that, and when my parents bought this house last year, I was so happy to see that it had my dream tub. I promised I'd take a bath in it everyday. Know what? We've been living in this house for 11 months now, and I've only bathed in it like 5 times! Wah! I love it, but I just don't have the time to enjoy it...cause when I get in a big tub, I don't want to get out. Its so relaxing though...especially during the winter. ;)

What a great new home, Kelly! I am sorry I couldn't reply sooner; on Saturday we had guests, and yesterday and this morning, I was having a bad migraine...:(
