Prayers Needed!
This morning Alexa called to tell me that Tuna was very ill, he had been vomiting and he didn't eat his breakfast. Tuna LOVES food so for him not to eat is a cause for worry. She dropped him off at the vets so they could run some tests on it. The X-rays showed what looked like a pen cap in his intestines. Tomorrow he will have surgery to remove it, please pray that everything goes well. I'm out of town right now and Alexa is a nervous wreck. I'm also very scared, Tuna is such a sweet boy please keep him in your thoughts. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back online, but I'll try to update after I hear something.

Poor Tuna!! What a scary thing is this! And poor Alexa has to deal with this on her own now! How awful! :(
I'm glad the vet did the x-ray, so they could find out what the cause for Tuna's problem is. I hope everything works well with the surgery.
Positive thoughts are on the way...

Oh no! Naw-tee Tuna!! I'm so glad she realized quick enough that he was sick and that the vet immediately took an x-ray. Hopefully the early intervention will mean a good outcome for Tuna!
I remember Efrat (who hasn't been around in ages) once had one of her kitties eat a bra strap and surgery was succesful on her kitty, so hopefully the same will be true for Tuna!
Good luck sweety! Be good at the white coats and they'll make you all better in no time!

Prayers on the way for Tuna!

Tuna's surgery went well! The vet is keeping him at his house overnight just to keep an eye on him and the IV and all that good stuff. But he said Alexa should be able to bring him home tomorrow! It turned out it wasn't a pen cap, but one of those plastic pulls from a window curtain. Only Alexa said none of them are missing! So who knows where it came from. Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers!
-
Laura, I'm so glad to hear that Tuna's surgery went well, what a great vet to take him home overnight!!! Gosh, now you just have to watch that booger like a hawk ... just like a toddler with small toys!
Thanks for the update!
Kim:)

Just getting to this thread....I am so glad Tuna's surgery went well. Ok Tuna the worst is over now you need to work to get well. Come on little buddy sending kitty angel Mysti to speed you along that road to recovery.
-
Laura, I just now saw this thread. I'm so sorry that Tuna needed surgery:( but I'm glad to hear that everything went well.:) His vet sure sounds great too. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way for speedy recovery.
-
Glad everything went well. It is scary to think of the things those cats can get into!
-
Glad that Tuna will be in tip top shape in no time! Tuna, make sure you only PLAY with those plastic pulls...not eat them!! What a nice vet to take him home :D
-
Whewwww...glad all is well! They're as bad as kids and you never know what they'll find! Mouser's new game is to get on top of the refrigerator, knock down as many magnets as he can, and hide them everywhere in the house.
-
Once again I wanted to thank everyone who kept Tuna in their thoughts and prayers. I talked to Alexa earlier and she said Tuna is doing well. He's home now, and he's being cuddly and affectionate. He has a checkup in a few days and then a week from Monday he'll go to get his stitches out. Our vet also told her that once Tuna is better it will be time for him to go on a diet!
-
I hope I'm not too late in sending my prayers for a speedy recovery. Get well soon little Tuna!!!
-
glad to hear he is doing well!
Naughty Tuna!
