~*~ Happy 1st Birthday, Sahara ~*~
Sahara,
Today is your first birthday!! I want to take this time to tell you how much you mean to our family and how bright you’ve made our lives. Your entrance into this world could not have been planned any better…we were all so hurt by the loss of my dad. It was Father’s Day that you came home with us!!! That made such a hard day so much better!!
When you came home, we weren’t even sure if you would make it through the week. The vet wasn’t hopeful with your prognosis. The mange had really taken over your body…you were such an ugly little girl, but we still loved you ;) There were a few vets who had a look at you…none seemed very hopeful. But we were diligent in treatments and would have done anything to save your life!!! Now, a year later, with all your fur and all grown up, you’ve matured into a wonderful family member that we couldn’t imagine life without.
I wanted to post some photos of your first year in our life. Do you remember when you were so little that I could hold you?? You were so small and sick :( But as I continue to look through your year, I begin to see a gorgeous girl emerging.
I love ya, Sahara!!!! Happy First Birthday baby girl!! I can’t wait to celebrate tons more with you in the future!!!

You have turned into one of the most stunning danes I've ever seen Sahara. You are so lucky that your famliy took you in and gave you so much love and attention plus took care of that yukcy mange problem.
