Wow, what a great yard! It is so pretty. Whoever picked the flowers did a great job!!!! I bet the dogs will love having grass to lay on. The dog area of our yard is a little short on grass too - too many dogs in one small area and I know they would love to have more grass to lay one. Looks like you found some nice purple flowers - purple ones are my favorite too. And your pictures really show everything off so great!!!!!

Wow! The yard is really looking wonderful, Kay! You guys have done a really great job! :)
-
Great yard. Sometimes I wish I had a yard, but I am too lazy for yard work, so I will just admire yours and others instead. :P
-
Looks really pretty, Kay! You all did a fantastic job! Great pics, too.;)
-
Great pics! Your yard looks nice! Uh, I kinda like the turtle bench.:p
-
Thanks everyone.
The bench..well.. it'd be cute if it was maybe $150, but $300? On that. No way.
They had another huge turtle thing that would have been really cute to plant some flowers in. It was made to keep your hose in, but could be easily used as a planter. It was only $70.. but noooooo.
It'd be a lot nicer if it had color to it. I like colorful things, and it's just dull to me.

Love all the flowers. Especially the blue ones. That bench is strange looking.
-
wow Kay, your backyard is gorgeous!! I want it!!:D
-
Great pics Kay, your yard is looking real good. I'm with you on the bench, but your mum obviously likes it, so I guess that's got to be good enough.:)
-
WOW!! You have such beautiful flowers!! You did a really great job!! That first pic is my favorite!!!
Do you know the name of these blue flowers? I'd love to have them in our garden too!

Thanks everyone.
Lut, That's a Delphinium. They thrive in full sun and can reach 12"-30" depending on the variety. They come in different colors as well. :)

Oooh, beautiful flowers, beautiful pics Kay!!! Neat-o!:D
-
The yard looks very nice, I love the flowers:D I love the bright colors
-
Great job on the yard.:D The flowers & greenery look really
beautiful. I kinda like the turtle bench, but my boney butt needs
something softer to sit on.:p If you don't like the color of the
turtle, maybe it could be painted.
It's really nice when all your plans come together on a project
like this. Good job.:D

Your yard looks great, and I have to admit, I love the bench, although I probably wouldn't have considered spending that much on it. But if your mom loves it, good for her!!! :)
-
The bench would be a lot nicer with color to it. My dad was saying something about flying amy down to paint it. :p
I don't think i'd have enough patience to sit out in the hot sun to paint that huge thing, plus it's not too easy to move to somewhere cool. :p
Today my dad and I made a little border around the flower bed where the bench is, with the extra pavers from our path/pool patio. We have a bunch more and we're going to find something else to do with them.
Hopefully our next step is to extend our yard, the only issues with that are trying to see how we'd have more privacy. If we extend our yard into the side yard, our side yard has a slope to it going down. That means the fence would be lower and people could see over. We'd like to keep our backyard somewhat private. We either have to find some way to make the fence higher, or find a way to block view.
Luckily there's only one neighbor on that side of us and the road is a little side road, so it's not used much, so if a solution isn't found it shouldn't be too bad of a problem.

That's the only reason we got it.

My sister says she loves the turtle bench (she's a big turtle fan, too). ;)
Nice looking yard, Kay. I love the flowers! :)

Beautiful!!! I 'love' the blue flowers you chose out. Very pretty. We've been working on our yard lately too, and planting a bunch of different flowers. I hope to find those blue flowers next time we go to the nursery to get more plants. Really...they are lovely.
Thanks for sharing the pictures. Kay, do you think you could get a shot of your 'whole' yard? I would love to see the whole thing in one shot, if that's possible. Looks like you've done a great job on it!
