WHAT CAN WE SAY THAT HASN'T BEEN SAID ALREADY???????? It's a good thing we don't live around those precious little sweethearts!!!! They would never get any rest!!!! Kiss, kiss, hold, kiss, hold, kiss, kiss, hug, hug and kiss!!!! Sleep for us would be non-existent too!!! They are so adorable it's hard to believe!!

Oh Kara!!!!! Look at those precious shiney gold heads!!! There little ears are starting to open and before we know it they will be opening their eyes and trying to stand!!!! I wish I could come and hold them close to me and whisper to them how precious they are!!!!! I have to tell you... It brings back fond memories and I am having very strong puppy longings. I think before long, I'm going to have to start looking seriously for my next Golden girl!! ;)

I was just wondering, what causes the little cuts on newborn pups? Like, I noticed one of the pups has a small cut near the base of their tail and I've seen it before in newborns. . . just curious ^_~

Never heard of cuts.... Not in Goldens anyway. None of my guys have any bruses or scrapes... Maybe someone with more knowledge on other breeds can help ya there. :)Quote:

Starr is such a good Mom, she's really lovin' it! Although, I think 10 puppies is alot, she's eating like a PIG. :)

I think she is talking about the 4th pic down, the pup on the left has a red scab looking thing on his rear.

I think that is a marking that Kara put on the pups to determine who is who. Usually when they are newborn, breeders mark the girls with red or pink nail polish and the boys with blue starting with a right shoulder, left should, right hip, left hip, right front paw, etc... This is important to tell which ones are gaining weight and to keep accurate records on each one. After a couple days different colored ribbons are usually used.Quote:

Once each pup is born, it is weighed, given a quick check over, marked and then given to mom!
Kara can verify if that is what the mark is.

AWWWWWWWWWWW what beauties....I have to say Goldens are the cutest pups in the world. Can't wait to see more pics of them.
I have the distinct honored priviledge of saying that I got to hold one of these babies (one of the girls) and they are even *more* beautiful and *more* precious up close & personal!! :D They squirm, and make little squeaky noises and have the BEST BREATH EVER!! :D
