Yesterday was Kiara's birthday party. I'm letting Kay put up those parts of the pics since she hasn't gotten to do that yet. Kiara had a blast and really does love balls. I don't think she'd ever tire of fetching them out of the pool or anywhere else for that matter. I wish I had some of her energy. Duke and I are pooped today. Here's Nebo and Duke when we first got there. Nebo is such a cool dog. I'm too lazy to fix the eyes.

All in all, it was a great time. Duke got snippy with Kiara and Nebo. He jumped on them both at the beach. Made me so sad. I went off by myself with him and sat on a bench and cried. I wish I knew what I could do for him. He's never been like this before. I guess it's just old age and pain. Then I get mad at myself for not being more understanding that he is older and in pain. Just makes me sad to see the dog I know disappearing at times. I cry because I know his time here is getting shorter and it just kills me to think of him not being with me one day :(

You got some amazing pictures of Duke.

I know how you feel. Cagney is the same way, recently he has had no tolerence for other dogs. Some days you can tell he is in pain, his skin problems make life a little harder.

GREAT Pictures!!!!! I can't decide which one I like the best. I think it's the one of Nebo on the beach. You're right... it's too bad the harness and leash are in that picture.

Great Pictures. It looks like a lot of excitement for one day. I would probably have gotten a little crabby too. But on a whole it looks like all of the dogs enjoyed the day, and now they can rest up for next year. :)

Great pics. I just feel for that husky too. Hey Val if Duke is achey ask your vet about giving him an asprin the neighbors 2 big dogs(shepard/coyote, and Rotti mix) are 12 and it sure makes a big difference in them.

Such wonderful pictures, looks like you all had a good time. How you get them to all sit in a line like that amazes me.:)

Wonderful pictures....the one of Duke where your comment was "How I love this dog" brought tears to my eyes...I know the feeling.:)

Enjoy every minute with Duke...He's beautiful and I can tell how close you two are by the way you speak of him, like a best friend.

Val, those pictures are gorgeous.

Please don't cry. Even Kia gets snippy at the end of the day. She just gets tired and wants to be left alone and some dogs don't get that.

You really got some great pictures of all the dogs Val. And I too have to admit that Nebo is quite a character. He's so laid back and will do just about anything that Amy wants. He sure does adore her.

I'm glad all in all it was a good day and try not to worry so much about his passing. Just enjoy every minute you have with him.

Great pictures, Val. Looks like you guys had a good time. I would have loved to have been there also. It just amazes me how you get them to line up for a picture. You guys are so good with your pups. Thanks for sharing such a great day with us.
