I filled up last Monday at it was $1.89. The next day it had jumped to $1.98! ~ In Anchorage, Alaska
Yikes!! I didn't realize it was so high in other places!!
We are hanging at $1.99 for regular...I don't think our gas stations want to cross over into the 2.00 range yet lol
i dont remember the prices here in Houston, but i tihnk they were $1.98! Good thing our vehicles get good milage:eek: (Jeep and Mercedes)I would hate to have a huge truck or suburbon now:eek:
edit - I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC (we tend to have the lowest in the nation...well, Charleston, SC does - about an hour south of me)Quote:

lol - I hit the quote button instead of the edit button
On thursday i paid 2.16 for med grade yesterday I paid 2.45 In Montana we have some really silly taxes on gas.
I live in North Carolina, the gas station up from the house is $2.07 a gallon, and it is expected to go higher than that.
Down under in Sydney the price is averaging about $1.06 a litre. As I work in the industry I constantly get asked why the prices move so much all the time, and the truth is I just don't know. As a franchise the fuel is solely owned by BP, I get the same amount of money per litre no matter what the price. It could be $1 a litre or $10 a litre and the money I get would be the same. The only increase I get is done on the amount I sell, so naturally I want the fuel as cheap as possible, so I sell more and to keep my customers happy.
$2.13 in Wisconsin
I payed 2.03 for regular today to fill up my truck.
Here is MS it is $2.02
Are you serious, Christa?!?! In Kentucky? I haven't been looking at the gas prices. I only start looking when I NEED gas. Haha, and looks like I'm about there. But I'm not paying that much. Nope. I'm holding out. I sense a no-driving week for me. :p
Around $2.30/2.35 in my part of Wisconsin- my dad has to pay $65 to fill up the truck- I feel so bad for him....:(
99 cents a litre. Converted to a US gallon it would be approximately $3.20 in US dollars per gallon.
Yikes.. just paid $1.94 tonight. The news said they'll go up another twenty cents by summer. I can't afford gas as it is now!
Hmm . . . I just can't understand why KY seems to be higher than anywhere else.
I figure it is really high in California, because it usually is anyway. Anyone from Cali???
in the UK, or in where I live anyway it is 82p/litre or coverted to USD it is $5.96/gallon
$1.99 in our part of PA.
Yup, I was just about to say that while gas prices are high (for us), they are NOWHERE NEAR what the UK or Japan pays. I went to Scotland in Oct. '02 and my friends were kind enough to drive me wherever I wanted... They were spending well over $60USD in gas every few days. I offered to give them money for it but they refused. So I refuse to bitch about the gas prices here until they equal that.Quote:

In my area of Maryland I've seen as low as $2.03 and as high as $2.10 for regular.
I filled up during the week for $1.97. By this weekend it had jumped up to $2.21
I've seen as high as $2.20. I filled my tank on Wednesday for $2.00/gal. Then topped it off (for ANOTHER $8.85 for a 1/4 tank) for $1.99/gal. The thing that bugs me about Michigan is they play games with the gas prices. It's lower at the beginning of the week, but by Thursday, when people are filling up for the weekend, the prices jump another 5-10 cents!
Thanks George Dubbya!!
Same thing here. They figure people wait til they are empty and driving around - most liekly a weekend - and they'll pay the extra money because they HAVE to. I *TRY* to remember to fill my tank during the week, but since I am not driving much anymore, I often am not out unless its a weekend.Quote:

In 2 more years, I am trading in my mini van for
one of those hybrid vehicles.
Just filled up on Thursday at $1.96 a gallon here in South Jersey, but didn't I see another gas station the next day offering gas for $1.90 a gallon :( You really need to look. Wow  I didn't have a clue that gas was that expensive in England!!! And even in Canada it is over $3.00 a gallon? I guess I should stop complaining then (but I probably won't ;) ).

Same thing here in Indy, except I didn't stop for gas when I
should have & had to pay the higher price,:( Price jumped 20+
cents per gallon overnight. Seems like prices are increasing on
everything we buy, but I'm not earning anymore money,:p
$2.32 for unleaded self-serve in San Francisco - that's by shopping around. I needed gas the other day on the way home. I work near San Francisco Airport and decided to go to the one that was easiest to get to right off the freeway - YIKES! They really nail the travelers - $2.49/gallon for self-serve unleaded - that was two weeks ago. It's probably up to around $3.00 now.Quote:

The gas price was around $2.30 the last time I noticed it, which was a few days ago. I cannot BELIEVE Kentucky has about the same gas prices as California right now. That's kinda weird. :o
In Pittsburgh, The average bis $2.07 a gallon for regular unleaded. However I found one for $2.03 a gallon.
The best price I saw last night was $1.97 but most are $1.99.
Your right, Donna! Good ole Georgie W. did it again! How did we get stuck with him for another 4 years? Yuck!)Quote:

It's $2.04 a gallon here. It costs around $30.00 to fill up my Toyota Camry and over $50.00 to fill up my husband's Ford Expedition. At least my Camry gets pretty good gas mileage, but that Expedition is quite a gas guzzler!
Gas is 85.9cents/litre here which is:
$2.71USD/gallon.
Of course almost every gas station offers 3cents off /litre so the real price is 82.9cents/litre.
Which is:
$2.62/gallon.
I think. I could be completely wrong as I've forgotten everything I ever learned in math class since I was last in school. LOL
All I do know is that we pay more than you do.....
After decades with no coherent energy policies from anyone in Washington the gas price is GWB's fault?
There are many, many factors which drive up the price of gasoline, some of which have nothing to do with Washington.
Hubby had to fill his suburban today. $90.00 I wish he'd be able to get something more effecant . but for his job he has to hve it.
Cost $40.00 for my Montero but I can drive all week to work on that. 32 mile s round trip. I start again next week. YAAAAAA
My tank was still half full but I decided to fill it up before the prices jumped even higher. I found a place for $2.19/gallon for regular and thats the cheapest I've seen around me. Most are around $2.27 or higher. I know they're going to keep going up. I heard it could reach $3.00/gallon.
I filled up on Sunday at $2.15 a gallon. $26 to fill my tank.
It was $2.25 around the Lansing, MI area just before and during the weekend.
In various areas of Detroit the prices were $2.07, $2.13, $2.17, and $2.23.
MI Lawmakers are considering passing a bill that will eliminate the 6% gas tax if prices go over $2.30.
Obviously the prices have risen yet again due to the explosion of the refinery in Texas City, TX.
We finally hit the $2.00 mark this past week or so in the North Dallas, TX area. I saw it was $2.01 for regular unleaded today.
My husband and I both drive Toyota's and must fill our tanks weekly.
I based my buying decision on my vehicle for it's good gas mileage. I get approx. 30-32 mpg, but I still must fill my tank once per week because of my daily commute for work.
We are on a tight budget and approx $200 of our monthly income goes toward fuel for our cars. Carpooling is not an option for us because we work in different towns and have slightly different work hours.
If I could have afforded a Toyota Prius (and if they weren't backorded for 6months!) I would have bought one.
At approx 50mpg.....it's amazing!
The idea of driving a huge vehicle which gets 10-20mpg is not for me. It's not just the gas prices, but our natural resources I'm worried about.
How expensive is this fuel? :D
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ceofpetrol.jpg
80 cents. Does anyone know how to convert that to American?
This morning it was 98.9 cents/litre but tonight it's come down to 92.9. Don't have a clue what that means in "ammerrrrican" language.
LOLOLOL, Trev. This morning I was actually thinking that maybe I should sell my SUV and get a smaller car....but then, I came to my senses. A grey-haired chick in a red SUV is a "stud magnet" especially with a couple of hot 18th year-olds in the car with me.:D
