Yup, she and her puppy sister were found on the side of a highway. My neighbor pulled over and got them in her car and went to all the houses nearby to see if they'd escaped but no one claimed them or even knew of any of their neighbors having puppies. So my neighbor brought them home and came over my parent's house to see if any of us happened to know someone looking to adopt a puppy.

I looked down.

She looked up.

Our eyes locked.

The rest is history.

SP, that's the first time I've seen Samantha's page. What a cutie! I've always thought she looked to have some golden traits in her. She's such a lovely lady :)

The pic used for Sam's page is old - from October 2002. She still had her sleep puppy tail - now it's huge and bushy and beautiful! But yeah, Samantha's definitely got some sort of lab/retriever in her. I go back and forth between Golden and Toller though. I would love to know what she's made up of but at the same time, it doesn't really matter 'cause whatever it is works! She is the greatest dog... She's amazing. :)

how long does is normally take? I submitted Happy 2 years ago and perky nearly 4 years ago and neither have ever been picked...

Yup,, My girl LucyBelle was DOTD on November 22nd 2004,,, sorry,, dunno how to link it...

You have to stop and think of how many entries Karen must get on any given day. Now that DotD is so popular, it could take a very long time. :eek: :)

I nominated Roxey when I first joined but shortly after that Karen said they had lost all of the nominations, so I never bothered to do it again.
But shortly before Angus died I had a great picture and nominated the three of them...so maybe one day:D

Wow, I assumed Karen would post them all, and most likely in the order they are received. I submitted Nikki's nomination last October and had been thinking recently, "it'll probably come soon!" But sounds like that could be a long ways off. But hey, like it was said, Karen must receive TONS of nominations, so I'll just have to think of Nikki as my former DOTD around the house! (Nikki is deceased, she passed away from liver hepatitis last summer.)
