So every night, around the same time, I clean the kitty litter. I drag the litter box out from under the table, take the lid off, and then step back and wait as by this time both my boys are sniffing around and will take turns peeing and pooping. For two young cats they produce an awful lot of waste, and they seem to wait until it's time to clean the thing before they let it all go!!!!! Do any other cats do this?
My cats love to use a freshly scooped litter box, especially Diamond and Mobius.

My two cats wait until I clean the box - then take turns using it again!!!!! But I still love them!
My mom's cat Belle always does this to her - it drives her nuts - I think Mom probably cleans the litter too much (2x a day for our 2 boxes seems to be good).
My cats always compete to see who can "deflower" the litter boxes first after my husband puts in the new litter for them. It's kind of funny to watch.
I sympathize with your Mom! It makes me crazy to!!! I just want to keep them to keep them happy cause they're my babies!Your four babies are some real cuties too! They always are unconditionally loving - my favorite part of my day is when I walk through the door from work and they're waiting for me!
I love coming home to my little kitties, and I love how they hang around me a lot when I'm there...of course, they go off and have their alone time too, but a lot of the time, they are with me, or with me and my husband, keeping us company and playing with us. :)
Thanks for the compliment on my "kids". I'm prejudiced, but they are some of the cutest cats ever! Of course, I don't think there's any such thing as an ugly cat. :)

Are any of your cat's fussy eaters? I have to be very careful of what I feed my manx she gets diarrhea from alot of cat foods. Zoe on the other hand can eat anything or any type of treats -Minxie can't tolerate snacks I feel so bad for her! Do you feed a special brand? I sure could use some advice- Thanks,Bonnie
Oh boy do I know about cats going potty within seconds of me cleaning it out. It seems a race to be the first one in to use the freshly scooped box!
Then they follow me from room to room as I scoop out each of the boxes.:rolleyes: I guess they need to make sure I do things right.

Aren't they amazing! They even like clean potties! Wish I had the litter boxes that cleaned themselves!!! But then my two would think I was ignoring them so I'll clean the litter and just buy them new toys!! Their favorite toy is a laser, I swear they hear me pick it up!
As I clean,the Cat Box,four times a day,they do exactly that,and time me,just as the last scoop,is being put,into the plastic bag,as they love,to use a Clean Box,too.
AH-what beauties you have!!! Your so lucky!! With the limited space in our apartment our two cuties are the limit-but some day!!!The more the merrier!They both started out as my sons but they gravitated toward me(& I was glad lol!)
yes Walker is our Litter Patrol kitty and if it isnt done to his specs he will pee in front of it right after the wife leaves after she does it,which always makes me laugh lol but not her lol

Wow -six little sweeties! To tell the truth after a day of work with people & attitudes I really love coming home to my babies who love me no matter what! If people were so loving this would be a better world!
Yes, this is a constant ocorance. Fortunatly now we have the self-cleaning litter box.
Yes, especially Rocky does...He just loves it when it is all clean just to go dirty it right up again...silly kitties!
EVERYTIME...yes everytime I pick up the lid, TWO cats, clayton and whispers'd vroom to wait BY the litterdome... a second after I shove the last clump out of litterbox, whispers JUMPS right into it and go phoooey. *thanks meowmie! I know I'm helping you too....* then clayton goes in, he seems to know he's waiting in a line. I AM NOT kidding!!! *gets up right after whispers gets ou and passby him* :eek:
so I wait until they both are finished...then I scoop them out! we're even.... :D they can't go again in another few hours! humph! ;)
...and I clean the litter box at least twice a day for her, as I work a split shift and am home in the middle of the day. I just tell myself, well, I prefer a clean bathroom, too. Also, I thank Julie for always using her box. Luckily, in the ten years since I adopted her as an adult of indeterminate age, she has never missed her box yet. I figure if she is good enough to use it, I will be good enough to clean it as often as is necessary. With the new clumping litter out nowadays, it is such a breeze compared to how it used to be! And besides, like one person wrote above, I LOVE her, so I don't mind this task.
Sometimes I am amazed what a huge payback I get from my kitty for less than five minutes of routine daily care (feeding, changing water 2-3 times a day, cleaning box 2-3 times a day). That's not counting the pets and the loving...those go on the profit side of the ledger!
