I need a drink.
be vewwy vewwy quiet - I have a spare key. We can sneak in the back and I'll find you something to drink. ;)
Hey lets get lisa (K&L) in here too I can't beleive how stupid people in her town are!! Give me one too I'm so upset she sent me a calendar that has some of the kitties on it. It's so sad.
Glad CJ is doing better.
Shhhh....thanks Catland. Looks like I'll only be needing one, so thanks for sneaking in for me. :D
Well, scoot yourselves on over and make room for me!
I can't believe it's only Tuesday! This week has been a month long!!!! I have a cold so I'll mix myself a hot toddy with plenty of lemon and honey!
c-r-a-a-a-s-h....tinkle...tinkle...pwoosssshhh...
OMG you guys! Sorry about that! I was just trying to clean out the cooler so it would be fresh and clean for when the bar really opens up. I reached behind some bottles and got clumsy and knocked them all onto the floor ! Drat, now I have more cleaning to do. Isn't it amazing how the pressure from shaken up beer can spurt the beer out of the bottle without exploding the cap off? Wonder how it does that. Oh drat again, I just remembered the mop is in the L & F. Somebody come get me if I'm not back out in an hour or so.....
I hope we don't get caught. hee-hee.
Corinna - thats so nice to think of Lisa, I'll save a place by the fire if she wants to stop by.
 What are you guys doing in here? The bar hasn't officially opened up yet. Oh well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Slide over guys.
**plunks down on the couch**
I guess you've got a lot of celebrating to do Debbie. So glad for you and CJ. If you don't mind, I'm going to light a couple of candles in the window for those Pet Talkers that need prayers.
HEY......WHO IS DOWN THERE.....MARIO?????
MARIO??????
Mario's in his room........
Damn vermin......Hey.......Oh my!
I heard the noise and thought that.....
Here, let's light a fire and get this thing going in grand style.....
Let me send the Zippy-bot into the L&F for that mop!!!
Catland.....Next time just turn up the jukebox and I'll know who
is there..;) ;)
And you have the honor of naming the DOTD for this week!
I was on my way to work and had a Mountain Dew on the seat...
I hit the brake, the can rolled off the seat, I just missed getting the can before it hit the console...
pppppsssssssssssssssstttttttttttt
All over......thank god it was a diet soda....the sugar would have made me sticky for the rest of the day......
-
Uh, OH! BUSTED!!!!:D
Whew! Glad we don't have to sneak around anymore. Sorry, Richard, it's not catland's fault, I needed a drink - bad! ;)Quote:

And the story about the beer bottles comes from my most recent experience in bringing groceries home. I obviously packed them in the back of the Tracker wrong, because when I swung the back door open, the 6 pack (that cost me $7.00!) slipped out. By the time I could catch it, 3 of the bottles had hit the ground. None of the bottles broke, one of them blew it's cap, but the other two just started foaming all over - bottle and cap intact. I never saw that happen before so I was amazed it could happen! So, I ended up with 3 bottles of beer for $7.00. Good beer, but way too much money. Next time I'll be sure and pack the beer further in so it can't fall out! Which reminds me....I need to wash that jacket before I go someplace where it wouldn't be a good thing to be smelling like beer.....;)
Speaking of beer, now that the cooler is all nice and clean, I'll take a nekid beer. Haven't had one of those in a loooonngg time. And could Peanut please have a very soothing, calming camomille catnip tea? She's going to need it in the next coming days. ;) :D
How could I forget?
I need 4 catnip teas, please.
Could you make Leonardo's a double. He had to go to the white coat yesterday. He has an upper respitory infection. He's doing great but still hasn't forgiven me, yet.
Could I have some veggie soup too? :)
OMG, MOFF, your mention of veggie soup reminded me....eeewww...Quote:

Just this last weekend I made some of my infamous creamy veggie soup, the one I had posted the recipe for awhile back. Well, Terry wanted me to make it thicker, so I did! The first night it was ok, but the second night...after being in the refrigerator.....it was just gross! It was sooo think we couldn't hardly put the spoon through it! I started to warm it up, knowing it would get runnier as it warmed. When I uncovered it the first time it was like hot lava bubbling up or something! It was like jello and it wiggled when the bubbles came up through it! It was soooo gross, but we both laughed so hard....then threw it down the garbage disposal. After seeing that neither one of us could bring ourselves to eat it. He said "Don't they make paste out of flour and water?" I said "yes, not to mention the fat from the butter and cheese...." and it was down the drain before we could think twice. :p Such a waste, but next time I won't make it quite so thick. :D
Debbie....I made that soup a couple of months ago and got the idea of adding broccoli to it. No good. It got really overdone and the broccoli got mushy and broke up all over the soup. Yuck. I also tried to freeze some for lunches. No good either. When it thawed out it got all watery. I think I'll stick to chicken soup.
Bartender....just sneaking on for a minute. Any chance of getting a nikked beer? Tanks....:)
**waves** Hi Connie and company.
LOLOL,
Nekkid beer, broken beer, cheesey soup and broccolli....
No one better blame Mario about 'putting on the airs', I know it's all of you!!!
T&p
Nekkid beer, Camomille CNT for the Tubster, Cracker Jack, want something???
DONE!
MOFF,
Veggie soup, reg CNTs, One double..Leonardo?
it's for your own good!
DONe!
Slick,

Done!
This is great. I open the doors and Richard ends up doing all of the work. :D
Now I need to thing of a DOTD. Talk about pressure. (I do take bribes;) )
Jeezie peezie.. you guys are encouragable, incorrigible..whaaatever, all of the above. Food for tommorow is "TRAUMA FOOD" (thanks T&P) whatever comfort food you remember and want. AND.. tah dah, lest we forget.. January 15, Saturday - is Mario's 1st year anniversary at THURSDAY'S :D hip hip hooray! ha ha Mario, bet you thought I forgot! Open the dooooor, Richard! Oh, ooops someone already did :o Sorry Catland. Belly up to the bar my friends, I'll handle the next round while Richard and Gini try to dry out. Put your wet socks next to the fire but open the window first please :p
SQUISH - PLOP SQUISH - PLOP
Sorry guys, my shoes are making funny sounds, I guess it is all of the water in them.
Sooooo, let me share with you my idea of I AM WOMAN..........I CAN DO THIS...........(pump out the basement and garage).
Got the basement down to a tolerable level - and it started to rain like - well , you know, pretty hard.
So, I race outside with my trusty pump and umbrella......put the pump in place - go find the extension cord..........plug it in..........and VOILA! Look at that, all by myself I created a living fountain of rainwater. I forgot to put on the hose to the pump.
Not only is rain pouring all over me - water is shooting straight up into the air from the pump.
What I said - out loud, could not be printed on this family friendly site.
I need a hot drink.........anything....just strong! I want you to know that I didn't get to bed until 3 AM - playing in the rain water.
But I also want you to know..........that I have realized that if this is the worst thing I have to deal with - I am way ahead of the game!
Lost and Found - HA! That's nuttin..........compared to the stuff that floated around in my basement. Where did it come from????
YUCK!
My drink, please, bartender?
shhhh, we must be vewy vewy quiet.... let's let Gini sleep in this morning Had a late night myself, talking with Phred re: road trip to WV, late call (from Eastern time it was late anyway) with West Coast. Yadda yadda... but at work bright and early - well, I'm early anyway, still deciding about the "bright" part  Anything left over in the kitchen? Quick to stir up? Need my coffee before I can tackle cooking. Oh dear, I only was able to get SOME of the decorations out of the L&F for Mario's party before I became skeered of the strange noises from there - oh, maybe that was just the noise from Gini's squishy shoes :o nevermind
Oh my.....I've been over on the cat side catching up on things and I didn't even think to wander over here.
Good morning Laurie...did you manage to get things sorted out with Phred? I know, I know....be quiet already. Sheesh, it's only 5:45am here...maybe I should go back to bed.
I've taken off Gini's shoes and placed them by the fireplace. Hopefully by the time she gets out of bed they will be dry. Watch that L&F Laurie. I refuse to go in there again.
That's ok, that's the sound rubber makes when it gets wet. :cool:Quote:

Has anyone thought of a DOTD?
How about a Colorado Bulldog? It seems like more of a breakfasty type drink. Kinda.
I'm not sure where this old Bulldog is from but:
1 1/2 ounces cherry brandy (Mario is with you so far)
3/4 ounce light rum
1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
3 or 4 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass.
um, you can try it first PitC
Hmmm...that Bulldog sounds like a little much this early in the morning. I think I'll start out with a coffee with some of Slick's Baileys in it. That's considered a trauma drink. The more trauma the more Baileys. :D
Laurie, I think we might need some new decorations for Mario this year since I think I saw some of them floating around in Gini's basement. Hope none of the real toxic stuff from the L & F leaked into her basement, we may have to get the haz-mat guys back here to help her clean it out! Speaking of haz-mat guys....Slick, remember the tall one, chiseled features, just a touch of gray in his side burns to make him look distinguished? Well....he stopped by my house the other day to help with cleaning up CJ's diarrhea (peeee---yew!). He said to say hi to everyone at the bar, especially you. He remembers getting stuck in the L & F with you last year. :D Also said his crew might be stopping back someday because they had such a great time. :D
It's almost 11:00 am here already, time to start thinking about lunch, so since it's trauma food day today, how about continuing with that pizza we started last week? Pepperoni and extra cheese sounds wonderful to me, with some yummy cheesy garlic bread. MMMmmmmm....M!
I thought Colorado Bulldogs are supposed to have milk in there somewhere
*peeks into room*Quote:

...
Can I come in? One of these coffees with Slick's Baileys in it would be great!
Speaking of Slick's Baileys, did I tell you that I made some over the Christmas holiday?? It was an absolute hit! Yum!! :D :D
At least there is some sun out today...finally! I swear I saw Noah in his Ark when I was commuting into work yesterday....
Home made pizza with fresh herbs of course, pepperoni with extra cheese for T&P and double sausage for Richard. Shrooms are OK but I would rather go real light if there's any green peppers (a little goes a loooong way). mmmmm, cheesy garlic bread! Now you're talking! Slicks special coffee, boy - that Baileys can be habit forming. Hey Debbie, if you see that Haz-Mat guy again ask him if his brother is interested in leading a trail ride in July ;)
Is it ok if I sneak in here?:p A Colorado Bulldog does have milk. It's so yummy!! Here is how it's made. Here is a drink just for you pit chick.......The Colorado Pit Bull!:D I think I need one of those.;)
Colorado Bulldog
1 shot Vodka
1 shot Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
Milk
1 splash Coca-Cola
In a shaker mix Vodka, Kahlua, and milk. Pour into a rocks glass and add a splash of Coca-Cola.
Colorado Pitbull
3 shots Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
3 shots Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
3 splashes Cream
3 splashes Coca-Cola
In a shaker mix Spiced Rum, Kahlua, and Cream. Pur into a mason jar filled with ice and add a splash of Coca-Cola. Garnish with a couple of Filberts.
Gini , I would love plop splish. we are going to be getting an artic strom this week not a high above 4 degrees ,we won't even talk about the lows at night. then 35 mile anhour winds for chill.
Can I crash on the couch here? I need a HBR please!
HI! everyone!
I need to grab a cherry vanilla coke and 4 cat nip teas and then run. I have a splitting headache from my cold but mostly because we have THUNDERSTORMS moving in. (Thank you California! ;) )
I'll try to pop back in later, but no promises.
:D
I thought I'd make a new "official"Thursdays thread but that didn't seem to work so I'm moving my DOTD post over here and deleting that one.
MoMo 1 cvc and 4 cnt's - sorry about the headache.
Corinna, on HBR - Done.
Jadapit - have I seen you here before? one CPB for you.
I'll heat up the oven for the pizza.
Thanks Jadapit, I'll take both, one for each hand. :D
Anybody know how to edit the title of a thread? Since catland's "official" Thursday 83 thread didn't fly (I saw it but couldn't respond because the dreaded boss was here) I thought I'd add the 83 to the title of this one, but it didn't work.
I don't see the DOTD's defined again Catland, but I'll take one of the second one, the one with the Southern Comfort and...?
Anybody ever have onion rings on a pizza? I think we should try it, just for MOFF. :D
Laurie, hopefully there won't be a need for him at my house anymore - hopefully - but if I do see him I will most certainly ask! Nothing like a good trail ride with an even better guide. :D
Jadapit, it's ok to sneak in, but sneaking isn't really necessary, just bust them doors down and come on in! Oh, you should probably know though, a good joke is required of all newcomers before you can get a drink....along with an ID. ;) :D
Hey Catland,
Can you change the thread title???
Thank you for helping me out.....I can in thru the back door...
ba dump...
I am busy today so I'll peek in time to time.....I have to work....:(
I wish I could say DONE to this pile of trash..
Thanks!:D I will have to think of a joke. Wow it's been a long time since I've been asked for my ID!;)
Hi, everyone! What's the DOTD today? Whatwever it is I'll take one. We're finally starting to dry out in Pittsburgh. I hope the same can be said for California!
DOH - sorry about that. In honor of the crappy weather, my two DOTD choices were eitherQuote:

Ice Pick
1 1/4 oz. Vodka, Iced Tea
Pour over ice in a Collins or Tall glass, Garnish with lemon wedge
or,
Warm Blonde
Equal parts of; Southern Comfort & Amaretto
Layer in a pony or shot glass.
T&P - on WB for you.
David, which one would you like?
OK, I'm totally confuzzled.... but never mind.....I'm up to my eyeballs in spreadsheets. I can manipulate a cell like you wouldn't believe it....:D :D
An Ice Pick sounds good. I'll take a double then I have to concatenate.....:) :D
T&P - as creator of this thread, you are the only one who can edit it. Go to the very first post of the thread and click the "Edit" button.
Oh yeah, its #89, not 83.:D

LOL,
Sorry, I am totally screwed up..
The sun's been out two days in a row and I was late a total of 1.5 hours to work in three days....
I am running on panic today.
THIS is gonna be a 'thursday' to remember.
Eeewwww.....now you're starting to sound my instructor, Slick! If you have time, check back a few of my posts. The haz-mat guy is looking for you. :DQuote:

Catland, I tried editing in the "subject" field. It edited in my post, but the title didn't change. I even went in and changed it to 89 from 83 and still no change in the actual title.
I think I need another WB to contemplate all this. Preferably a MALE WB. ;) :D
