I have an actual JOB INTERVIEW tomorrow at Petco! I am SOOOO very excited! First, we NEED the money. Second, I think I'll have a ball working there. And an employee discount won't hurt either! ;)
Please pray I get this job. I have no idea what the pay is like, but frankly I don't care, because its more than I am making right now.

Grrrr... why do some people always have to make me feel dumb? I have been talking to someone for months about work and my lack of it. I called her all excited today to tell her about my interview tomorrow. I didn't even get a chance to tell her about my book illustrations when she started telling me how pathetic it was to be excited about Petco. :mad: :rolleyes:
She suddenly realized she has a friend who is a realtor that *happens* to be looking for a person to help with paperwork. She tells me "its grunt work, but it will certainly pay more than Petco" and when she said Petco, she made it sound like it smelled like dirty socks or something.
First off, WHY didn't she tell me about this friend before? Why all of the sudden did she remember this friend?
Secondly, the job sounds pathetically BORING and filled with hassles. Sure, I'd get paid more, but then I'd waste the extra $3 an hour in the car driving to and from the realtor's office! Its easily 40 miles away and the Turnpike fees to get there would be $2.75 each way. Yeah, that math adds up to me! $10 tank of gas and $5 in tolls to make an extra $15. :rolleyes:

Thanks! :D The funny thing is that I filled the application out yesterday while at the cat adoption event. I used all the volunteers as references! I know my rescue is the "preferred rescue" of this Petco, so my references must have carried some clout!:DQuote:

I work at Petco in the grooming department. The pay sucks (well in grooming, I think they make more out in the store) but I do enjoy it. The employee discount is 20% which I love. :)
Wolf Q - your PM box is full, so I hope you see this...are they a good copany to work for? Everyone at the Petco by me seems to stick around for a while, with only a little turnover. That speaks well to me, but I was wondering what they are really like to work for!
And how stinky is the pay exactly? ;) :p
