I have about a 25 minute drive to work.
6.7 miles. It takes me 15-20 minutes.
About 15 1/2 miles. Usually takes me about 40 minutes in our traffic.
Gee, I sure wish I had Gini's commute. Left out the door around the patio table, down the steps, veer left around the spittoon and a right into the office door. :D
Less than 3.5 miles. :) In the next year or so, we'll be building a new office. Then it'll be less than 2.5 miles.
Depends on the traffic...(I don;t know in miles) but with no traffic it's like 7 mins away.
Work is only 3 minutes away by car.
But I drive 30-45mins (depending on traffic) to school.
With my main job at the coffee shop I just have to drive down the street. It's so close I've thought about riding a bike but it's down the busiest street in Tucson and I'd worry about being hit by a car. The drive only takes about 2 minutes. I also work part time for a pet sitting agency, we take care of the east side of town. Usually when I do pet sits I drive anywhere from 15 minutes to 40 (I have two clients that live abour a 40 minutes drive each way! thankfully I get paid extra for those).
I did the conversion from Kilometers to Miles .......
I travel, one way, 32.3 miles!!
I don't know miles, on km.. but I have no idea how far away work is. By bus it takes 45mins-1h & by car it takes 30 mins.
it's around 15 miles... usually takes around 20 minutes by car, depending on traffic :p
Less then 5 miles/5 minutes. Might take 10 if I hit all the traffic lights!
I just mapquested it and it was 1.86 miles.Quote:

Mine's about 20 mins, or just over an hour if I ride :)
1.3 miles, just a few minutes to get there!
I think you people will be envious of me! I have to walk down the road about 50 yards and I'm there! Unfortunately in the winter, since I'm so close, I'm always called upon to shovel snow!
Takes me about 45 minutes each way...ugh I hate it
I travel 1.1 miles. And it's the same whichever of 3 routes I can take to do it!
10 miles door to door.
It takes me 15 - 20 min. to get to work, both on a bus and on a bicycle. :)
Okay, this will make most of you feel better about your commute. Although mapquest says I live about 35 miles from my work, if I were to drive it I would EASILY be spending over an hour each way (probably closer to 2 because of the traffic). So instead I drive to the Metro station and take the subway to work. That still takes about 50 minutes to an hour each way...:(
I travel a little under 15 miles to work. It takes me about 20 min.
I used to travel 62 miles each way to work!!! UGH!!
I did it for almost 3 years!! That SUCKED!!! It would take me an hour and 10 min.
I work from home, so its a matter of hopping out of bed, and I'm there! :D
I used to work 60-some miles from home. I started at the company when I lived 1.1 mile away, but hten got married and moved 60 miles away. I LOVED the company and the people, so I stayed and drove the hour and half each way.... until the company was sold. :( Evil new boss!
I work in two different offices. One is 17 miles away from my house. The other is about 40.
.79 miles. Sadly it is faster to walk to my job than it is to drive because of the trafic lights.
According to Mapquest, I'm 4.98 miles from work--I do have to park across the street from work though, so it's probably closer to 5:D
I can get from my driveway to my parking spot in exactly 10 minutes if I don't get behind any busses or slow drivers. Usually it's closer to 15 minutes though.
Oh, so many of you are lucky enough to live close to work. Some of us are not so lucky & have to drive quite a ways. I just thought about it one day on my way to work.....about how many people have to travel long distances. It stinks especially with gas prices the way they have been. It just went up to $2.03 a gallon here (Edgerton, WI). How about where you live???
Teenster3,in Pittsburgh it averages between $1.91 and $1.95 a gallon. Before my surgery, it was too tough to walk 50 yards so I drove.Quote:

I drive 9 miles to work, it takes about 15 minutes.
Justin works an hour away.
That is me too, and I generally don't even start my morning bath until 10 minutes before I begin work, although I do move fairly fast during those minutes. Sometimes I arrive in my office to answer the phone only partially dressed.:pQuote:

I live 36 miles (57.6 km) away; I measured it. Mostly highway, though. Gas is evil in Westchester; about $2.20 for regular! I want a hybrid or a fuel cell car.
It takes about 25 min (give or take a few) .... I'm guessing it is about 7 miles.
21 km each way. Takes me 20 minutes or so. It actually takes me less time than when we lived in the city. When we lived in Calgary it took me 45 minutes to go about half the distance!
WOW! What a loaded question for ME to answer! I have to drive to where ever the boat might be on the Mississippi River. When I got off Wednesday I put 358 miles on the car coming home and that was closer to home than we usually get off.
BUT, I reckon if you divide that into 28 days it don't look so bad. That is the one thing I really love about my job!! The commute to work.. Open door, walk down hall and at WORK! The only drawback is they laugh if you are late because you say "My battery was dead this mornong" "I ran out of gas"......
