I'm worried about Corkscrew
Last week Corkscrew had a bit of an eye infection so I took him into the vet, they gave him some antibiotics and eye ointment. But I think that was just the begining of an illness. Last night he was being really affectionate which is usually the first sign that he isn't feeling well. Today when I got home from work I noticed that he hardly ate, usually Corkscrew eats like a pig. I'm a little worried because he does have a Corona Viruis, two years ago when they did bloodwork it tested postive for it :( Right now he's sleeping and getting some rest. I'm going to see if I can get him into the vet tomorrow. Please pray that everything is ok with him.
A Prayer for Corkscrew & Mommy
Please watch over Corkscrew and nurse him back to health so he can be a happy kitty again.
We are all routing for you,Boy! May you come home real soon.
Info about the Corona Virus:
There is no way a reputable breeder can ever guarantee against a kitten coming down with FIP unless they either know for sure they have corona free catteries or they are pulling kittens from moms at about 4 weeks and totally isolating them to prevent corona virus infection. Recent studies show that this method may be ineffective as kittens may be getting infected with corona virus as young as 2 weeks. Corona virus infection DOES NOT MEAN your cat will ever get FIP. Most cats infected with corona virus will live long and healthy lives. 80% to 90% of cattery cats will be corona positive. No one knows for sure why some cats have the corona virus mutate into FIP.
