well i LOVE all great danes, i'd have to say fawn (tan /black nose) is my favorite. i'm not sure if white is actually a recognized color for great danes though, because it's made from breeding different colors that shouldn't be bred together and almost every one of them is deaf, blind or both, and most die at birth.
i love them all...black, mantle, blue, merles, harlequins, fawn, brindle, white! they are all great and the sweet Danes look stunning in all of them!! :D :D :D

I have never knowingly seen a Mantle Great Dane. I love all the colors however....so I guess i would be an 'all of them'!
There all really pretty. I like the mantle, tan and black the best. What awesome dogs!:D

Aww... I adore Danes, our old neighbor used to have a huge Harlequin boy named "Lincon".

I have never seen a mantle before but it was super cute :D And the white one was also cute.. I vote for the mantle.

I like the merles and whites. I saw a tan merle in Petsmart the other day. He was gorgeous and was going to be neutered soon!! What a smart daddy.
danes are one of the only breeds I like simple fawn, blue , or black. Most other breeds I would go for wakyist like a catahoula.:D :)

Blue Merle,, Brindle and Dapples.. ive always had a soft spot for. whethere they are in the breed standards or not. :o
i do love the tan with black mask too though. :D

Looking at the pics Esster just posted, I don't understand why people get such high standing ear crops done to their Danes like the brindle. :confused: I like the crop that the harlequin has, it seems more "natural" for lack of a better word and of course I like the natural ears on the fawn.
I guess in the pictures, but after meeting fawns, blacks, and harleys together, I like the Harlequin look much better.Quote:

Pit Chick, I like the tall, taipering ears in a dobe of dane a lot better. In am staffs and neos, I like when most of the ear is removed.
Here is an example of the Am Staff ear I like the most:
I can't stand seeing a Neo with no ears. IMO they aren't a breed where cropping looks good, just mutilated. The Am Staff you posted has more ears than my foster. She only has two little pointy pieces of cartaledge on the top of her head. It's a shame too cause we can't even rub her ears, all we can do is rub her holes and little points. She can't fully enjoy a good ear rubbin.
