Please think of Katie...

Latley, Katie has been having accidents in the house. At first we though "oh, it was just a accident" so we started taking her out more during the day. Well, that didn't work. And I mentioned to my mom that since Katie is getting older, she could have something wronge with her bladder. (my friends dalmation has it)

It hurts me to see her getting older. i hope they can find out whats causing her to do this. please think of her. She has a vet appt @ 4:30...here in a little bit

They just got home!

My mom told me that they said katie has a very tiny infection, and she has medication to take every other day.

Whew! I was worried it was bladder stones. Schnauzers are prone to them. Glad it's just an infection.

I'm glad it was nothing serious.

Try to enjoy Katie as much as you can. I used to feel much the same way you do--hating watching them age, but having recently lost a very young dog, I'm learning to savor it--it brings it's own pleasures. I try not to think of it in terms of getting closer to loosing them. I'd give anything to be able to watch Hoodoo grow from a rambunctious young dog to a dignified gentleman, but I will never have that opportunity.

Amber, I'm glad she got a good report. "Tiny" infection sounds good to me! I don't think 8 is very old at all for a Schnauzer. I'll bet your girl will be around for a long, long time!! :)
