Shayna lol Shay-Nuh everyone can pronounce shayla but no one can pronounce shayna :rolleyes: drives me nuts.
Emma.
Eh-ma. :p
Mine is pronounced two different ways. My family pronounces it Louda but most of my friend pronounce it Lora. I really don't have a prefrence. One of the main reasons my parents named me Laura is because they wanted me to have a name that could be easily pronounced in both english and spanish.
Mine is
Heh-ther =Heather:)
Easy easy easy... JC - Jay See :)
Bella, my gf (i told her to post herself, but she's lazy :rolleyes: ) is tricky. Everyone thinks is Bell-la. It's actually BAY-ya.
Lay-key-sha
HA HA HA
It's Laura....pretty simple....LOR-UH
still just lilly.....lil-ly
Liana - Lee-Ann-Uh
Jaime = jay-mee
Cori - Cor-ee
Ty = Tiah
;)
Odd-ree - Audrey. cause I'm odd.
Mine's simple too :p
The only trouble I've ever had is people spelling it with an i :p
Rob-in=Robyn
Mine's pretty simple I think:p But people always think its Stephanie when I tell them and its annoying lol.
Tiffany= tif-fin-nee
In grade 5 everyone decided to call me tif-fanny but it was just a nickname lol:p
Am-bur / Amber
little kids that I babysit always say my name like Ham-bur LOL :p
My name is Kari pronounced like..
Help me carry the groceries into the house.
My name's Devon... I pronounce it DEV-in. I hate when people call me dev-ON...
MY NAME'S DEVON, TOO! im not joking! LOL:D
Dev-in
i hate it when people pronounce it Dev-ON, too.
:):D
Am-Burr.
My younger cousin calls me "Am-Ba" Ahh i don't know how to spell it, i guess i would have to say it in order for you to know what i was talking about. :p
I pronounce Karen - the a like in apple, or carry - Kar'n
Ka-ren
others pronounce it more like Kah-ren
or Kare-in
and that's okay, too! I'll answer to them all!
My illustration professor once wrote
Boston Bosten Bo stin
on the chalkboard, pointed to me and said - "I bet you're the only one in this room who would pronounce those differently." Had nothing to do with anything, and he didn't test his theory, but it was wierd!
So Devons, both of you, I would pronounce it Dev-unn -(emphasis on the first syllabl, of course) is that as offensive is Dev-on? If you pronouce it Devin, why not spell it that way? ;)
Aren't you all glad I'm not your English teacher? :p
Tonya...Tawn-ya
*edit* These migrane meds are doing everything but fix my headache! I answered this thread last week...haha.
I'm Lori
Lor-ree
I hate when people call me Lora or Laurie.
Me name's Liga and it's pronounced as Lee-gah
Mary-Louise/Mar-ee-Lou-ease. I hate it when people say can I call you Mary? I'm thinking "No did you not here me say my name?" But I always end you saying that they can. And I'm suprised if I don't have to repeat it sevral times before they get it.
Carly- Car- lee
Sar-ra/Sarah
People never have any problem saying my name, they just have a problem spelling my name. They spell it-
Sara (I hate that):mad:
My friend Marianne has a older brother who spells it Sahra
Serah
Sareh
Saria
I've seen everything!...I dident think it was so hard to spell S-A-R-A-H
Angie
Sounds like Ann-G :D
Deb-e = Debbie pretty simple. The thing that I hate is when people insist on calling me Debra, even though they have no idea if that's my real name or not. I've known people that the only name I've ever told them is Debbie, and they insist on Debra - and not only Debra, but Deb-or-a = Deborah - gah! I hate it! Just because Debbie is a common nickname for Debra or Deborah, that doesn't mean that that is my name. Terry's (my signficant other) real name is actually Terry - not Terrance and my boss's real name is Randy - not Randall, so why do people assume that my real name is Debra - or worse Deborah? :mad:
Ok, after all that ranting, yes, my real name is Debra, but I've always been known as Debbie and it's just a pet peeve of mine - thus the rant. :rolleyes: :p :D
Bran-dee=Brandy :D
or as my best friend Shannon says... Brand-Y
or my nephew pronounces it.... MeMe
lol! :D
My name is Diana, pronounced Dee-aw-na !! (NOT die-anna)
My name is pronounce
kay+ate= Kate
But my real name is Kathline pronounced
Kath+leen
Joe-hawn-ah. Johanna. Not simple. Really not simple. Mispronounced ALL the time. Jo-ANNA, Jo-hanna, Jill Hanna (very often, which surprises me). About 10% call me Joh....
I can always tell if someone is a friend of mine by the way they pronounce my name (over the phone....in person, I recognize my friends, usually).
Jaime = Jay-mee
I always know when I'm getting a crap phone call when someone asks for Mr. Jaime, Jaime pronouced Hy-may (as in Spanish), or James. :rolleyes:
