It wasn't me Mom - musta been Ripley or the cats!

Bella is notorious for stealing tissues from the trashcan so we often put the small bathroom trashcan up high where she can't get it. :rolleyes: Recently hubby installed a new toilet paper holder. This one is open at one end and you just slide the roll on. It doesn't snap on. Well a couple of days ago I noticed that Ripley kept walking back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room and I got suspicious. This is what I found. It seems that Big Sis was on a mission and he had been watching her. Maybe he was reporting in to me (I was working in the kitchen at the time). :)

This is her *guilty as sin look.* She won't even look at me because then she will have to acknowledge the white mess on the floor. :p
This is why I can never be mad at her and she knows it! ;) She had just come home from the Beauty Parlor a couple of hours before.

This is what she is hoping I would believe. Unfortunately she gives me this same look when I approach her with the nail clippers. She looks away and I think that she feels that since I am no longer in her sight I have vanished.....or so she wishes! LOL! :p

First off, she looks lovely after her beauty appointment! I'm glad to know that Nicki isn't the only tissue eating dog around! she goes nuts for them. If hubby blows his nose durin the night and leaves the tissue on the nightstand, she'll sit there and bark at it until we get up and throw it out... or she'll politely walk over to the nightstand and take it for a snack. ;)

I think she is too cute to be mad at too!

I love the innocent look. She really does look so beautiful and sweet.

I caught Max with a tissue in his mouth the other day. When I said his name, he looked up at me as if to say "What?" He was laying there with tissue hanging out of his mouth and trying desperately to look innocent. I'm terrible - I cracked up laughing. If the camera would have been handy - it definitely was a kodak moment

Pam, this has always been my question: Why do dogs love paper products? Paper, newspaper, toilet paper, tissue... you name it, they want to eat it. Perhaps for the fiber? ;):confused: :rolleyes: :) :D :p

Even an old dog will try a new trick. Bear is 13 and never bothered tissues. This past month, he has decimated an entire box and destroyed a few paper towels that were left on an end table.

Mom is being retrained not to leave any paper products near the couch!:rolleyes:

When Angie was alive she did the same thing. All the garbage cans were up high and I could never leave my purse open and on the floor :p

I have a Kleenex hound myself, so i totally understand. :) Arthur does the same thing.... "If I can't see you, you're not really there." If Chloe does something bad, she thinks if she "sits pretty" and plays cute all will be forgiven... and, who am I kidding? It's usually true! :)

My goodness! Look at that beautiful princess:D Who could ever stay mad at a beauty like Bella? Not me, that's for sure!

She is beauiful. I definetly see that look alot! I have 2 poodles. 7 & 5yrs., the elder is refined & "cool", the other rips any tissue product she can up & leaves it. When I find it , I'll say who did this? The little 'culprit' G.I. Jo's away & leaves her big sis, to say sorry (paw). Only after I take paw & say it's OK will the 'culprit 'come out. (most times with a piece of whatever hanging off her mouth!)

Bella, you look marvelous, darling. And not to worry your blond locks, Mom can't stay miffed at the *most beautious* one for long.

Tucker prefers his kleenex with some petroleum jelly and removed make-up on them. And heaven forbid that anyone should try to rip the prize from his mouth. His jaws tighten into locked position from which neither Mom or Dad dare try to extract. I really should know better than deposit these things into any other waste basket than the covered one in the kitchen.
