*Strut Your Mutt* <75 pics>

Yesterday was Strut Your Mutt. The ‘mutts’ that came were Nebo, Lady, and Cisco. We had a great time! Thanks again for the pledges, we made it to $400! :D I took LOTS of pics (as promised) but I narrowed it down to 75 lol, so here they are!

Michele threw the toy in too deep...Cisco was the only off-leash dog that could have gotten it, but he wouldn't do it. So we had to hire another dog to save the toy lol.

They had a few agility things set up. If you paid a $1 (proceeds went to the event) they'd take you through the course. I tried to get a pic of Nebo going through this but I timed it wrong.

And I have to agree. I like the one of her, Reggie, Nebo, and Syd -- but this is probably my second favorite. Amy's really pretty no matter what her psycho self says. :p

Wow, it looks like a really great event. I loved seeing all of your pictures. What pretty dogs they all are. I wish me and the girls could have been there with you.

I notice that Nebo has a halter collar on. Does that help out alot with choking. I think Katie needs something like that also. I think the akita in your picture has one on also. Last night me and the pups took a quick walk around the block and Katie was really pulling and choking. Its not as easy to make her walk beside me when I have Tori running around on the other leash also. I noticed that even just the slightest tug on the leash would make her choke.

Kay Ann, don't you use one of these for Nala or Simba? I can't remember which one.

You did a terrific job photographing the event. I feel like I was there!. Nebo as always is just as handsome as ever and I loved all of the pictures. The wagonful of dachshunds was so cute and the little poms with their summer hairdos! :) Oh, and this one particularly got my attention. No surprise there! ;) :p

Robin, the harness doesn't really help with pulling, but it does make it so that when they do pull it doesn't choke them. Nebo hasn't quite figured out heel and I don't know if he ever will. :rolleyes: He does have a Halti (headcollar) which helps a TON with pulling (and it doesn't choke them) but he hates it and I get annoyed with all the "is that a muzzle?" comments so I didn't use it this time.

WOW what a day! They had a 'Strut your Mutt' here last September and I was planning on taking Harley. Sylvia wouldn't be able to take a long strut; she's too lazy. I only had Harley about a month when it took place and I was really excited to take him, but I had to go to a funeral that day for a distant cousin. I'm hoping to make it this year.
