I think you need to put after it.
I'm sure someone else could explain it better than me but I'll try
you need to put this
[ img ] but with out the spaces.....you put your http thingy in between them
I hope this helps:o :)
Here's a thread explaining how to post photos.
Instead of imagestation I'd use Photobucket.com
Yahoo doesn't allow direct linking (posting pictures) onto other sites, neither does Imagestation as suggested in the following thread;
Posting Pictures
Okay, Let's see if this worked!
Okay close but no cigar!! Hmmm... I typed in the [img] and the other one, but it said I do not have permission to access from that url or something! GRRRR!!!
Okay Ill try again!
I think you have to take off the ? at the end of .jpg
i'm not sure, i think this has happened to someone else before and it seemed to help.
Arrrrrgggghhh! Now maybe?
Okay! No question mark now!
getting closer...
now it said the requested url was not found on this server!!
Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! So confusing!!!!
you can't use yahoo thats why your not getting it...you need to use imagestation or photobucket:)
Okay... If this doesn't work I will have to try again after I get some nice pics of him on the digital camera. I had some really nice ones, but we had to reboot the computer and I lost them all. I have them as my photo for the yahoo messenger directory though and I was wondering if I can copy it from there and use it in my signature. Oh I have it in the msn member directory too. Would it do it from there????
I think it is a problem with wherever you are hosting the pictures. Some sites do not allow you to share images with other sites or other users.Quote:

now??????
I feel like I am soooooooo close when I get the 'x', but I just can't seem to get the image to show up. I tried scanning a picture and saved it and then tried to copy it into there, but it just won't have any part of that either. I registered for something called photogra or something, but I can't seem to make heads or tails of that either!
Oh Please help!!!!!
this will never work!!! :( :( :(
blah
Send me the link to a photo you have on the Internet somewhere, and I will help. This IS possible, I promise.Quote:

OKAY!!!!! This will do for now!!! Thank you all for being patient with me!! I appreciate you trying to help!! Too bad it just doesn't make any sense to me!! I really need it broken down into very simple terms!!! Im just not getting it for some reason!!!
I guess if you just look up the yahoo or msn member directory you could find it. I am under the same name (gotalonglildoggie). If you can view my profile, I have a picture of my beautiful baby on there. That is the picture I am trying to use, but it won't let me for some reason??!! Thanks for all the help!!!!
I also managed to get another picture saved into "My Documents" . Is there any way possible to download it from there??
Here is an example:
The image for Hazel, today's Pet of the Day, is stored on our server. It's URL (the place it "lives) is
http:/ /peto ftheday.com/arc hive/20 04/Feb ruary/25.j pg
(I just put spaces in between some of the letters so you can see the URL as type, not as a link.)
So for me to post that picture here, I would put
[ img ] then that URL ht tp://pet oftheday.co m/archive/2004/Feb ruary/25.j p g and then [/ img]
but without the spaces. If I do so, you'll just see:
http://petoftheday.com/archive/2004/February/25.jpg
does that help?
No. It needs to be on the Internet. I'm guessing yahoo and msn do not allow images to be viewed on sites other than their own. Can you give me the URL for the picture you want?Quote:

ok???????
i'll try
I don't think you can link from that site either.
When I entered the URL into the Address Bar, this showed up:
http://img24.photobucket.com/albums/...n/untitled.bmp
My suggestion would be to use Photobucket.com. It's easy and works great. :)
okay. When I right click on the picture and go to properties in the place where it says Address (URL) it gives me all of this mumbo jumbo. Is this what you mean??
http://www.msnusers.com/mypicture?us...rUxbxZDnNRNYVO!KyhQ$$~5AAAAAXAAEAUZtzEunjiK9XPJH*qBBYzEpIW6Stbwq cm0$
Here. Copy this link into your signature and put the [img*] and [/img*] around it without the stars.
