By now, most of you know that I have my daughter Sirrahsim - Missy, and my DIL, Sirrahved - Devon, here on PT. Are there any other family members or friends who actually know each other like Catnapper - Kim and Jen?? It seems to me that some of you have also met and that there may be another mother/daughter or two?? I am trying to keep track of people but it gets complicated. I DO keep a notepad for kitties and owners:D

No, unfortunately not. Neither do my real life friends or relatives post on message boards, nor do they speak English (at least not good enough).
Guess I'm something like a freak in my family! LOL

Nope, no one else in my family or friends. I would rather they didn't anyway. This is my private life that I only want to share with my PT friends. I can be totally open and up-front about my deep love for the kitties.

No, no relatives on here but my friend (Killearn Kitties) introduced me to the site but all my other friends wouldn't understand and would probably think I'm quite sad, each to their own ;) Personally I think some of my friends are sad with their choice of websites (ie dating sites) I'd much rather talk pets than chat up strangers !!!!
Nope, most my family and friends don't share my huge love and interest for animals. In fact, if I forget who I'm with and start talking about my furkids I often get eye rolls from my husband's family. They think I'm crazy - I think they're missing a wonderful part of life.
My sister is on VERY occasionally -- Gavin. And I have made...and met up with a number of wonderful friends from Pettalk.
No friends or relatives here!
YES! betswase is my daughter. And meliwase should be appearing soon! All this family togetherness - sigh.
Most of you know, Pam, is my mom. And i have made a few friends here on pettalk.
I haven't even told my family and friends about Pet Talk and how much time I spend on it :o

K & L (Lisa) and I are good friends! My husband (Tim), Kevin & Lisa all work for the same company and have known each other for many, many years.
We got Yoshi from Kevin & Lisa's park.
PaysForIt is my partner Steve.
But his signature is very out of date AND he only posts when he get a new cat ;)
PS. Steve spotted a orangie with white cat in his works carpark. He said his first thought was does he have a home...snigger. We have converted him.
He also has admitted reading the vet board (cats need homes adverts)
Please someone stop him, before we get pushed out of bed by fury butts.
Jynnelle (Tikeyas_mom) and I know eacother in "real life." We go to eachothers' houses parctically every weekend. :) We met on PT! :D
Apart from John (Jonza) who I live with, I've met Sirocco, Barbara, Sara and Vio. It's been great fun and I'd do it again anytime!! :D
OOh, this is an interesting thread! I know my fiance Jeff (Lally's Man), he only posts when there are new pictures of Nakita, LOL (he is mesmerized by her). And I introduced my other good friend Carolyn (Catfancy33) to this site as well, we worked together, she's as big as a cat freak as I am. I tell everyone about this site, I'm proud to be a cat freak. Ya gotta represent for the felines, LOL.

No family of mine posts here, and no one I hhknew BEFORE pet talk either.
Catnapper and I know each other through an adoption and I mentioned pet talk to her so ..... She'd be the closest to being a friend outside of pet talk.
Hopefully a lot of friends BECAUSE of pet talk though, even if we don't meet in person.
We are a PT family!!! My husband was the first join (SadiesDad)...after I joined, my mom, sister and dad all joined (4 Dog Mother, Dakota'sMommy and fivedogdad). My mIL Is also registered, but she has never posted...just voted inpicture contests.
I have met several PTers at various dog park meetings in Findlay, OH...I almost fear I will miss someone if I try andlist them all, but I'll give it a shot...

I also got a chance to have lunch with Delidog when I was in Florida last year, andI'm hoping to get together with her and soem other Floridians this summer.
I have no family members on PT. I did introduce a friend of mine at work to the site and she loves it. However, I think that she has only posted once or twice.
Of course, there are all of the friends that I have met on PT.:D
Do we count? Paul is my husband, so related by marriage! We have siblings who have joined, but only post rarely, so I'll let them stay anonymous.
Friends? Goodness yes! I've met bunches of Pet Talkers at gatherings in Texas, Ohio, and individual meets with people in San Diego and Stonhenge and Toronto, but the first ones I met were Sandra (tatsxxx) and Logan, and her daughter Helen on a miserably hot day when my car's AC quit! And they were nice to me anyway, as bedraggled as I was! And I count all of you as my friends, whether or not we've ever met - you are Pet Talk people, where every pet - and every person - is special!
My daugher reads on occasion, but because of her age, I haven't yet allowed her to join Pet Talk. :p She has posted once or twice, with my permission, under my name.
I have no relatives that have joined, and no friends either, but I have made friends, for sure, through this wonderful tool!! Sandra, Pam, Rachel, Karen (Israel), Jackie, Gini, Karen (the big boss, Mayor Karen), Popcornbird, etc etc etc (there are many others, too numerous to name). I have had the pleasure of meeting Souraya (Doggiesarethebest), Sandra (Tatsxxx11), and Karen, who are all members here. I keep in close touch with the others by phone and email. They have become my "best" friends, truly!! Selfishly, I don't want to bring others into my little private place! But I will admit to sending a link to the Dog, Cat or Pet of the Day, quite often, to family members and friends, who I know will enjoy seeing the honored ones!!! :)

For those of you who don't know, Helen and I flew to Massachusetts two summers ago. We were expecting to leave the horrible humidity and heat of SC behind and enjoy cool breezes and wonderful weather. Massachusetts had a heat wave like you couldn't believe!! The temperatures were above 90 every day that we were there!! Our salvation was the ocean, which was still quite chilly!! :)
Well, some of you already know that YellowLabLover is my daughter. She introduced me to Pet Talk a few years ago when she found it, and I got hooked pretty quickly! ;) I haven't gotten any of my local friends to join, but I have met lots of people through Pet Talk who I would consider friends, and even traveled to Ohio last May to meet some in person.
Same here!:D But I know that my sister and niece often sneak on this side and when I talk to her she seems to be well informed and also asks a lot of things and translations...;)Quote:

Nope and nope, I don't know a soul here.
One member has asked me to get toghter with her, so maybe one day I can say I have a friend here. If I ever get off my lazy butt and take the hour drive. :o
As Robyn (Christiansmommy) has already mentioned, she is my daughter. :) I found Pet Talk first, almost 4 years ago :eek: , and I think she joined about a year ago after hearing me say "Well, on PT I learned this, or met this person, or saw this adorable pet...." :) My immediate family knows about my "addiction" but no one else does. They probably wouldn't understand anyway. :rolleyes:
The first person I met in the flesh was SAS (Sallyanne) on that fateful day when Robyn and I drove to PA. to deliver Gabe to her for his long trip to Camp Vermont. Then last April I met a bunch of PTers at Pet Talk PA. including the Head Bunny and her hubby and K9 Karen and JenLuckenbach who I had been dying to meet in person!! :cool:
I got my signifigant other, Andy (Fett), to join. He browses the boards or I'll point him to threads. :D
My sister's friend, Lissa, joined after I told her about PT. She had just adopted a puppy.
I'm still trying to get my sister, Jenn, to join. :)
I talked my sister Kate (TigerBlossom) into joining, but between work, school, family, and pet upkeep she doesn't get here often.
I've made several friends through Pet Talk -- at one time WolfLady and I worked a block away from one another, KAK and I have attended more cat shows together than I can count off-hand... ES and her husband visited here last spring and there's a thread devoted to the PT outing we all had that weekend... Good times!
I tried to talk some people into PT -but there may be the language problem too. However some of the people for whom I asked questions like Eckhard and Gudrun are very impressed by Pettalk, by the friendly people here and how helpful we all are:)
In real life I met Randi, Vio and Sara (Edwina's Secretary) and as Randi pointed out- I hope we meet again.
And: I hope to meet some more:)
I met Wolflady on PT and am happy to say we are very close friends. Because we're a bit far apart, we see each other every few months, but chat on the phone every week. I'm SOOOOOOOO glad we met here. :)
I've met a few other wonderful PTers at the CA meeting last July and it was great. Everyone here truly has a special place in my heart. :)
No relatives here. They can't know about my addiction! :p My sister knows about Pet Talk, but she's too young to join.
Amber (CamCamPup33) is my closest friend on Pet Talk. :) But, we have yet to meet in person...I'll get down to Florida one day! But, we talk just about everyday on AIM. I'll also get that calling card...;)
Also, there's Kay, Liana, Ash, Jordan, Cayter, Brooke, and Dayna, who are my close frends too. :)
I'm also meeting Cayter (Foam) and Laura (Uabassoon) in February! :D
