Zookeeper, do you have any pics? I actually don't see very many basset/labs. My dogs mom was the basset so it was hard for her to carry such big pups. Only two survived, Lucy and her brother Stanley(who lives down the street with a nice family) I feel so lucky to have her.
This is my beautiful eyed sweetie GSD/? mix, Carly:

K9Soul, what did Tasha's mother look like?
I loved all of the pictures. Yay for mutts!
Robinh, Carly has almost a Corgi face, especially the snout. She's beautiful!
Smilla, robinh and catnapper, more pics! We need a lot more people to post pics regularly. I didn't know you had such pretty dogs. And Sandra, you need to start posting, too! We love looking at all the dogs. Here's Duke. He's German Shepherd/Chow.

I wish I knew, I never saw Tasha's mother. Just adopted her from the humane society here. She was 8 weeks old with one other sister with her, who was a bit more reddish in her coloring. I often wonder where her sister ended up :(.Quote:

We adopted him from the animal shelter 3 years ago...sadly he did NOT get along with Molly, they had a few bad fights where Molly didn't come out so good. So, we rehomed him, to a person who lives on a "ranch". I miss him, he was a great dog nevertheless. :)
Or a Great Dalmation... lolQuote:

Hi guys,
I want to tell you the story behind Lucy.
One of my neighbors had a pure breed Basset hound. She was so angry to find out that her neighbor had let her pure breed Chocolate lab out and that it had gotten her pregnant. She was so awful to the puppies (Lucy and Stanley her brother) run around the apartment complex. I told the lady I would give her money for Lucy and she said, "No, I will pay you to get this mutt out of my sight, she is terrible, I can't make money off of this" Anyway, I took her.
Her brother was taken in by a couple who had too many dogs in the first place. The apartment complex found out about this and told them if they didnt get rid of him that they would evict them. Next thing you know little Stanley is running around on the street. I saw an ad in the paper that described him as a found dog. I called and told them I would take him in. I took him in for a few days until I found the perfect home for him. A neighbor who had recently lost her basset hound was desperately looking for another dog to get along with her lab Max. It was love at first sight when Max and *Jane saw Stanley. She told me she would love to take him in and give him a forever home. I am so happy that I got him a home instead of letting him roam the streets.
I'm so happy that Lucy and Stanley both got forever homes.
That isn't a sad story because it has a happy ending! I am glad that they both found loving homes.
This is Darlin. She's a Shih Tzu/Poodle cross! :D

Mooch: Her mom was pure Pom., no one knows about her dad. Thats how she came to be with me, the owners were so upset that their "PURE" dog mix with another that they tried to set the puppies on fire. Mooch was the only one to make it.

My little DizDog is a poodle/bichon mix? maybe. The shelter guessed that and the vet thinks she might have a little Maltese in her as does my groomer.

Of course I have lots and lots of pictures of my Boxers. :D It's just this was for mixed breeds, I guess we need to start a thread "Show your Boxers" ;) ;) :) Are maybe "show your pure breeds" sense I don't belive that there are many PTer's that have Boxers, but I could be wrong. I've been wrong before.
Awwww gotta love the mixed breeds :D
I am owned by 2 mixed up mutts.

And Miss Penny, the JRT x Doxie, Beagle, Chihuahua, Who knows what ;) She is 6 years old but acts as though she is 16.
She is an extremly lazy, Headstrong and Disobedient dog but we love her. (BTW we have been through puppy pre school and 3 obedience classes but they did not help, she knows ALOT of tricks and a few other commands but choses to ignore them most of the time)

All the doggies are beautiful! You people need to post some more pics of these pups. I love them. My bestest and smartest dog ever was my sweet Chloe. She was a Samoyed mix. Her mom was full Samoyed and we don't know what the daddy was. That girl was so smart that even when she was sick and had to throw up she would go to the back door for us to let her out. I miss her deeply and still grieve for her to this day. I wish I had taken more pics back then. I'll have to try and find some and scan them at my dad's so I can get some on here. It took us 3 years and for me to be sick before we got our new pup Katie who sometimes gets called Chloe by mistake. I hate when I do that. I know now that I will never be without a dog. Doggies are the best and give me a great sense of comfort.
Robin :)
katienoonan, I will have to ask my friend if her fh has any pics with him. He moved to Winnipeg from Calgary and his dog stayed with his family. Her name is Puddles and I would think she would look like Lucy cause he described her as a lab with short legs:)
