Happy Duke

I got back from vacation Sunday night to an elated Duke. He was doing that sort of whining talk that Shepherds do. He hardly ever does that. I don't know who was happier, him or me. I missed him so much. Here's how he was as I walked in the front door.

He missed me also because I'm the only one that will play keepaway with his rawhide. He growls viciously and makes a great production out of it. I'm the only one brave enough to play that with him.
Today, I took him for a ride to the pet store for dog food. He loves to sniff the air from the window.

I was walking him around the plaza to potty and we passed these flowers. I couldn't resist.

While I was on vacation, a part of me was still here. I'm so glad to be back with my sweet dog.

Aww Duke is just the sweetest thing! He is so happy to see him mommy, it's adorable! :D He looks great with those flowers. :)

Oh Val, how precious! I got almost teary-eyed looking at his overjoyed expression and just imagining him SO happy and excited to see his Momma back home. I can just hear him talking to you, telling you how happy he is you are home! What a good sweet boy! Give him a hug for me!

Val..WOW! YOU play keep away from my rawhide too??? Both Cody and Klo LOVE that game! They'd try to nip anyone else but I can tackle them and yell "gimme gimme" and Klo does that GSD talk too! Cracks me up!

Valerie, the pictures are great! :) I loved the "mental" picture I got best, though, just picturing that "wiggly" butt of his when he saw you!!! I get the pleasure of 4 wiggly butts when we return home after a trip..........oh heck, they wiggle like we've been gone for months when we go to the grocery store and back!!!! :o
