Thanks, Amber! Yes, Marigold has extra "thumbs" on her pawsies. She also has an extra toenail between her thumb and her paw as well.

How cute! I never knew that Marigold was a poly! My RB kitty Zasper was also a poly, it was so cute I loved her little "thumbs" it looked like she was wearing mittens.
Now Marigold is a cat who can pack a whollop! Big paws...adorable face! What a combination!

I totally forgot she's polydactyl...what a cutie! Phoebe had that nail between her toes too, the vet removed it because they tend to be ingrown. Does youre Marigold have that problem?

I've thought about having those two extra toenails (one per foot) removed because yes, sometimes they tend to irritate her foot, and when she walks on tile you can hear a tap-tap-tap. It doesn't seem to bother her very often (once every couple of months), and I am very diligent to keep her toenails very short. She loves to get her toenails cut :rolleyes: so that helps.Quote:

It makes me miss my Tiny! He looked just like that (only orange patches though) complete with the big thumbs!
Amazing how they find the most mundane things interesting! But she did put up a good game against that nasty money! The injustice of a game making her smelly and in need of an on-the-spot bath!

Can somebody explain that to me. I thought she was wearing some kind of a mit too! Everybody else seems to know all about this kind of thing. I don't know anything at all.
Please explain! This is just new to me.
I really love the closeups, you must have a really good camera to be able to get in there like that and take such clear shots of her.

AWWW Marigold aren't you the cutie pie!! I also didn't know about her extra toes either but it certainly doesn't detract from her beauty. :) I think in the first picture it looks like she is counting out the change for you. :) My Andy loves to play with change on the dresser around 3:00 a.m. :rolleyes:

Beautiful kitty, and what a sweet name! I had a tabby cat with polydactyl toes on his front feet/hands - he was a stray when I got him - the neighbor called him Bigfoot! I named him Twinkletoes. He died a few years back - I still miss him.
She's just practicing with those adorable aposeable thumbs of hers. :D

I didn't realize Marigold was a poly! I love polydactyls and love the "mitt" look of their feet. One of my first kitties ever was an adorable orangie. I didn't know it at the time, but he was a poly. I named him Mittens because his feet looked like baseball mitts. :D He was the coolest cat.
Marigold is beautiful, and adorable playing with the money. I love the pics where she has to get that nasty metal taste off her feet. I hate that metal smell on my hands too. :D
