I know it's not polite to ask a kitty it's weight, but i was just curious as to averages here on the board. Boomer was 13.3 lbs at his last appointment and is now down to about 9.5lbs thanks to switching from free-will feeding to twice daily feedings. I'm not sure what those weights are in kg. I never could get a hang of that metric system.
Mishi weighed 14.5 lbs at his last checkup; I think he's up a bit now - probably close to 16 lbs :eek: Mitzi is still 11.3 lbs. I'm supposed to be trying to get them to lose weight and switched them from free-feeding to twice daily feedings a few months ago, increasing playtime, etc. etc. Their weights just won't budge! I guess we're just meant to be a heavy furred family :rolleyes: :D
Max the Persian who looks fat but is just a skinny mini weighs in at a whopping 8 lbs.
Speckles on the other hand who does has ittybittyfeets but a wide girth weighs in at 14 lbs.:eek: :eek:
Bob weighs in between 16.5 - 17 lbs. His ideal weight is 16 to 16.5 lbs. So he only slightly overwiegt.
Joey is about 9.75 lbs, I think that she is just right. In fact I think she is probabaly under weight.
Storm weighs about 14lbs. which is a good weight since he's a very large cat.
Sunny is my skinny long kitty and only weighs 11lbs.
Cirrus weighed only 13lbs. when he was at the vet in April but I think he probably weighs at least 15-16lbs. now. He's grown a lot and is a very large cat. He won't let me pick him up so I can't weigh him at home.
Sky is still 13lbs. and has to maintain this weight or lose a little more weight. He's a very stockly cat and now looks even fatter since his fur has grown in.
I used to free feed them but had to stop because Sky has an overeating problem. They now get fed 2 times a day and only eat 3/4 - 1 cup of dry lite food a day.
Last time that I weighed the cats, Ron was 17 lbs and Raven was 9 lbs.
Last we weighed Ripley he was between 19-20 pounds but he may be up a bit from that. His idea weight is 17-18 pounds according to the vet.
I just took Jazz in a couple of weeks ago and she weighed 8 lbs and 15 oz. The vet said that was okay for her but she didn't need to gain anymore.
Scout weighed just under 7 pounds when I got her in July and I'm sure she has lost a little lately. I'd say 6 pounds is more her idea weight.
Kylie at her last visit, was 16. :o I think she is probably up to about 18 now tho!:o :o :o But I have switched her to Science Diet Hairball Light formula and measured amounts!
16.2 and 16.4 Butterscotch and Thumper - There has been no more weight gain (unfortunate that we were at one time feeding the one food, that put on weight) YEAH - They have been on some form of weight maintaince food for couple years.
Skinny gone from 8 lbs to 12 lbs (according to our scale). He finally looks healthy. :)
They are free feed but in measured amounts.
Phoenix weighed 16 pounds, but lost some weight since he is on a Diet for Urinary problems and can’t have any more treats.
My petite girls weigh about 7 Pounds.

Tigris 12,8 lb (which is his ideal weight, he's a big cat) and Filou 7,2 lb:)
Trevor at one time was close to 20 lbs. Since developing diabetes this summer, and having his diet completely changed, he is down to 16 lbs. :)
Andy maintains an even 12-13 lbs.
I have to totally separate them now at meal time and have 100% control over what each one eats, much to Trevor's dismay. :p
Ali looks a lot heavier than she is...she only weighs 10lbs.
Jack who looks a lot smaller than Ali, actually weighs more than she does...he is 11.5 lbs.
Rizzo is about 10 lbs and still growing. With all the fur he has, it's next to impossible to do the "rib test" to see if he's too pudgy!
PS--I don't know why, but when I read this subject line, I expected to see a picture of a cat bench pressing or something! ;) :p
Priss doesn't mind revealing her weight, she is a dainty 7lbs and Bubby is 10, the vet said Saturday that those weights are ideal for a girl and boy. My friend the vet tech said that Lucky, however, is going to be BIG! He is only seven months old and is starting to fill out in the middle and he eats constantly, way more than the twins, he hasn't been to the vet since he got neutered so I would guess he is about 8 lbs right now and growing fast! :eek: :D
OK I had to go hunt down the poor guys and subject them to me standing on the scale with them. Subtracting their weight from mine reveals, I am too heavy... I mean, the cats are bigger than a lot of the guys posting here:
Mr. Allen is nearly 20 pounds (even chasing Pouncer hasn't made him skinny)
Pouncer is 8 pounds but has a lot of growing left to go!:)
At the last vet visit, the kittens were 9 months old and Emily was 8 pounds and Eliot was 9.5 pounds. Since then, Emily is growing quite a bit of flubber on her belly!!!:rolleyes: Eliot is very long , muscular and sleek. Much bigger than pudgy little Emily.
I too, expected a workout program for my cats! Edwina is 11 lbs. and Eddie a big 15+.
Nakita is 5.05 pounds. It's important to include the .05 when your small!

I too am a product of the American school system and never figured out the metric system. But, I found a website: http://www.worldwidemetric.com/metcal.htm to do the conversions for me. So...
Halo - 11 pounds - 4.9895 kilograms
Cammie - 9 pounds - 4.0823 kilograms
Molly - 9 pounds - 4.0823 kilograms
Seymour - 17 pounds - 7.7111 kilograms
Miss Cinnabuns - 5 pounds - 2.2680 kilograms
Jett - 17 pounds - 7.7111 kilograms
Gray Boy - 22 pounds - 9.9790 kilograms
You guessed it - Seymour and Gray Boy are on a diet. They haven't lost any weight but Miss Cinnabuns has and she can't afford to. The vet says she's in good health so Mom tries to feed Miss Cinnabuns all by herself in another room so that the piggies can't get to her un-diet food.
BTW, Seymour and Gray Boy are the only males. I find it interesting that they are the major chow hounds.

Tigger is 7.5 lbs, Smokey is 17 lbs (but no diet for him, the vet says it is fine for his build), Tucker is 8.8, Mystic is 11 and Abner is 10.5.
I took my babies to the vet last week and my oldest cat weighs in at 13 lbs...she is up a pound from her last visit. The vet said that if you can't feel their ribs, they need to go on a diet. Well Marla doesn't have any ribs that I could feel so she'll be going on a diet. Any recommendations on diet foods? I feed my kitties Eukanueba right now...
Justice weighs 8 lbs (she's so tiny!) and Whisper gained a half pound and is now at 8.5 lbs!
The reason my husband and I took these pics was to show our family back home how much they had grown...enjoy!

Me too! LOL! I work out with weights (5-10 lb. dumbbells) Mishi and Mitzi run away when I'm working out. Silly kitties :)Quote:

Tex downs the scales at 8.6 the last time. That was a 4 oz gain!
