PICS of Kia's floppy ear

As reported here Kia developed a hematoma in her ear. She's doing better. Still scratching and shaking, despite the steroid shot and Benedryl I'm giving her.

But on the upside, it doesn't appear to be getting any bigger. :)

She can hold her ear upright (You can see how it bends slightly though and the lump)

And when she relaxes, that's when her ear flops down like so:

One thing the vet suggested is that I use a bandanna to hold her ears down so she doesn't do more damage. Kia doesn't like it much:

What cute pictures. Kia it's obvious you don't like the bandanna but it looks so cute! (Ok, it looks really funny but Kia you know we love you.) Great smile picture!

I think the ear looks adorable with a little flop but most important I just hope Kia stays healthy!

The bandana pic is priceless! If she was human, she would be an old lady wearing a dress, clunky shoes and carrying a bread basket :) Too cute.

Aww, Kia, I hope that ear heals up super fast. Glad to hear that it is improving. Don't worry...you are beautiful with it floppy or up!

I don't think so. She lets me touch it. And since those pictures were taken, the hematoma has decreased dramatically in size. I think it'll be totally gone in a few days. Yay! :D

Awwww poor Kia girl! I felt something like that on a dog that was being groomed once...except it covered about half of the ear. I'm glad it is healing up! She looks gorgeous no matter what her ear looks like! :D

Poor Kia!! I hope your ear feels better soon!! This isn't a fun time of year for pups with allergiesin this area...Cincy has been scratching a lot lately too, despite the Benedryl, and a bath :(
