*Utah County Pet Fair* <pics>

Lady and Nebo went to the Utah County Pet Fair on Saturday! :) They had quite a nice time!

I'm not sure if I've ever had so many people take one look at Nebo and say "OMG does that dog bite??" in my life though. We had the halti's on both of them for most of the day...nobody said anything about Lady. Guess Nebo just naturally looks vicious. :rolleyes:

He also naturally looks feminine too, as everyone assumed he was a girl, as usual. Well, except for the lady that wouldn't SHUT UP trying to convince me that I shouldn't have neutered him because she had a husky she wanted to breed and blah blah blah. :mad: Sorry lady, little late for that--wouldn't have happened anyway! :p

Ahh yes...and then there was the lady I met at Strut Your Mutt earlier this year. She had a Nebo look-a-like husky, red and white, blue eyes (I believe I posted a pic). Well, according to her it was an alaskan malamute, but it wasn't. She recognized Nebo and came over to talk to me. She informed me that she had to get rid of her dog a few weeks ago because she was getting out and digging up the yard. If she would have read just one article about huskies before getting the dog she would have known that huskies are known to do that! HELLO! And she had some little dog now...ugh...:(

Done ranting about the ignorant people now, almost to the pics. I also happened to run into the other dog that is in Nebo's class, Mickey the irish setter. Then later my trainer showed up. :)

Nebo liked the pond...well, actually he wanted to eat the ducks. It was quite funny actually. He was running around on the shore like in the pic below. I decided to walk out onto the dock. To my (and his also!!) complete shock he jumped right off the end! Boy was he suprised when he didn't have ground beneath his feet! He freaked out so I had to drag my wussy wet husky, soaking myself in the process, out of the pond. :o He didn't go off the dock again, but he did continue to splash at the shoreline. :rolleyes:

Gosh Amy your pictures are always so good. The first one of just the scenery is enough to make me want to live in Utah! I can't imagine having all of that awesomeness (is that a word?) so close by. Maybe when you live there you get used to it but I think it would take me a while! The pupster pictures and comments were soooo cute and the dogs and cones picture made me laugh out loud. Thanks for such a fun post this morning. :)

That's horrifying about the other husky that the lady got rid of. :( I can't believe some people!!!

Well I'm glad you had a good time despite the ignorant people. Ugh.

The weather was gorgeous and the pictures are great! Love the Zam look-a-like! It's the black nose. :D

And goodness... did Nebo ever pull a 'Kia'. lol!! Jumping off the dock like that. I sympathize with the freaking out thing.... Kia sounded and acted like she was going to die. :rolleyes: :p ;)

And I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't think that's a real dog in his puppy pic. Silly humans. ;)

Awwww... I wish my county (or nearby counties) had stuff like this. :)

So - what exactly is a pet fair? I don't mean to sound ignorant - but we don't have them here. Is it a place to bring your pets and meet other people, or are there lots of pets up for adoption there or what? Whatever it is - it sounds like fun.

I just had the pleasure of meeting that dog's twin yesterday, in the Gap. She was just gorgeous and so soft!!!!!!

I can't believe that lady got rid of her husky for jumping and digging--obviously she is an idiot:mad: :mad:

As for the person who wanted you to breed Nebo--I had some guy come up to me at Petco a couple weeks ago and ask me how much it would cost for me to let Jada breed with his male and have puppies. I told him she was to be spayed in a week, and his mouth nearly dropped to the floor. Same excuses, she should have at least one litter, she's too beautiful not to reproduce, blah blah blah. I gave him my speech, and walked away.
