Mittens is here to stay!

Hey. Just wanted to let you guys know that I will be getting pics of Mittens to post. Yea, I got her about a week before I was going to. I got her on Sept. 16th, 2003. She is so cute. Smokey and Snowball don't mind her, but Stormy hates her. whats the easiest way to get a female cat to like a new female kitten? nothing works. plz help.

Time is your best tool. Females (IMO) are more difficult to introduce. Stormy might just have to get used to mittens over time. can't wait for pictures.

OMG, Mittens is ADORABLE! You can tell how tiny she is next to the washbowl and pitcher!

I hope time will help with Stormy! You can use Feliway to make her feel more comfortable with each other.

I also had to introduce a female kitten (Lily) to a female three year old (Luna) and the first days I thought I had made a big mistake! But within a week, they became good friends, and now Luna has even adopted Lily as her baby and lets her suckle.

It's been a breakthrough in their friendship when I rubbed Lily with a wet towel with which I had rubbed Luna before. Actually I did it to help them cool off during the horrible heatwave we had this summer, but I guess smelling her own scent on Lily helped Luna to accept her. Maybe you can try something like that, too!

I have had much the same experience as Jen. My male Cats are much more likely to be supportive of a New Kitten that my Female Cats! Especailly a female Kitten. Moose , jjj3 and Michael will play and let a kitten lay beside them more that the Princess.And Cat Angels Scrappy and Fluffy were the Best in this regard! Time is the only way !

Kirsten, I'll try that. Thanx. So, all I do is get a wet towel and rub it on Stormy than rub it on Mittens? Would that really work?

she is 7 weeks old. she was born on august 4th, i believe. she is tiny.

She is so beautiful. I want to kiss that adorable nose of hers.

Give Stormy and Mittens time. I have found that introducing a female to another female to be more difficult than introducing a male and a female.

cute cute cute CUTE!!! Reminds me of Ritzy when she was that age/size.....she was so tiny when we brought her home she would sit in the palm of your hand....now her HEAD is as big as her whole body used to be! (in more ways than one) :rolleyes:

Mittens is just a sweet lil cutie pie! Another gal tux for the runways! She'll give miz Ritz a run for her money on the Paris fashion pages!
