Please keep them in your thoughts today.
I haven't said anything about this yet, but I feel I need to now.
Wednesday morning Mark's (my husband) cousin was struck by a car (he was riding a motorcycle) while on the way to see his wife in the hospital. I was coming home from the dog park and seen the accident, but I didn't have any idea it was him.
Needless to say it wasn't his fault, but as it seems to happen so often, he was the one to die.
We went to the viewing yesterday afternoon and omg, it didn't even look like him at all. I don't know how his wife and 2 kids can bear to look at him:(
The funeral is at 1:30 today, so if you could just please keep this family in your thoughts or prayers, I would appreciate it.
Thank you
Anna
Thank you for your kind words.
What a hard day:(
His wife was just beside herself with grief today. It hurt my heart to hear how upset she was. She was honestly wailing with grief. They had to use a wheelchair to get her out of the church.
One of the things that struck me the hardest was when she said "My heart, my heart's broken". I just couldn't hold back the tears.
He was a motorcycle rider so there were about 20 or so of his biker friends their on their bikes. Such a tribute to him, they even carried a bike in the back of a truck to symbolize he was still with them, if not in body...in mind. The sound of the bikes when they started them all brought the tears again.
When we got to the cemetary it was so beautiful (it stormed while we were in the church, but cleared up at just the right time).
They even had a man playing "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes, it was so nice.
Thank you again everyone.
