Yes, I have two cones, Winston and Wolfgang. :)
I voted no, not any time soon, either. While I love the cones here on PT they just don't really fit in with my lifestyle or apartment decor. :p
There are SO many strays in my neighborhood...small ones, tall ones, young ones, worn ones. It's pretty sad. I'm seriously considering opening up my home and heart to one. We have to discuss it as a family first, though. It's a big decision!:confused:

I have three in my backyard that my construction worker Uncle Bobby gave to us! :D There's two big ones and one small one. The mom's name is Bella, the dad's name is Spike and the baby's name is Junior. They're such wonderful additions to ANY family!! I have to take pictures soon...
:( I need to adopt one soon. Hopefully a male and female but..I'll make sure to spay and neuter..LOL
I'm hoping to adopt soon...Sometimes I see them on the side of the road, sometimes even the highway! It's so dangerous. I wish I could just pull over and pick one up but my mom won't let me. :( But one of these days I'll get one. I'm hoping to have a male. I think I'll adopt a male that doesn't get along with other cones, because those ones are hardest to adopt out and my mom doesn't want me to have any more pets. What do you think? :confused: ;)
Yes! My boyfriend found this little guy for me. I've been meaning to post some photos of him, but I keep forgetting! :o I named him Bobert, he's been with us for a few weeks now. :) Ruby just adores him!

Anyway, although I greatly enjoy the cone threads on PT and get a good laugh out of them, I'd rather not adopt one. :p I don't see the point you know. Its an object.............just like a ball, a picture, a clock, whatever. Doesn't make much sense to me to have a pet *cone* LOL, but I hope the PT'ers continue it since the cone threads are hilarious!
One more thing........where do you all get your cones? Do you steal them off the road? :eek:

I'm not sure if everyone on PT does this, but I know there is a site where you purchase a cone and the proceeds go to helping animals. :)

Then, after reading the success stories here on PetTalk, I realized that I could have cones at work - to love and play with during the day when I needed a break! Now, I have 20 (yes TWENTY) cones at work. They are the smallest of mini-cones, only about 1 inch high. But they each have a big heart!
My coworkers come in and play with the cones, and it seems to relax them. They are often surprised that cones make such good pets!

My mini-cones came from BigLots. They were in a combo bag of armed men, signs and barricades, and cones. I think the idea was to have little toy soldier/police men protecting your toy airport or something vaguely terrorist-related. The whole bag of parts was 99 cents.Quote:

Obviously the toy makers had no respect for the difficult job of cones, or their need for love and attention. I'm so glad I could rescue them - but there are still more waiting for your help!
