I got a job!!! :)

I had an interview at a Veterinary Hospital today in the town I live in and she offered me the job right there! :)

I'm so happy! Its close to home and they're going to work around my school schedule. :)

The job is working as a receptionist at a vet that see's all animals except for pigs (aparently, they scream...) and something like a horse or cow that would be unable to fit through the door.

The office manager has a five legged lizard looking thing and one of the vets has a chocolate lab and a yorkie that frequent the office. :) There are dogs and cats everywhere for me to talk to! :)

I start tomorrow at 9:30. Yay!! :D

Yes, pigs do scream...we tried you use one in our high school musical my freshman year...you couldn't hear anything on stage for all the screaming :) ( needless to say, by opening night we were using a stuffed animal!)

How did your first day of work go?

It was a nice day. :) Thank you.

I trained from 9:30 to 12:00 and then was basically let lose to do some things on my own. There's a lot of stuff to remember, but it'll come with time.

The best part is all the animals! I love that I can go watch them feed baby kittens, bathe and groom dogs, visit any animal being boarded (dogs, cats, birds, etc.). Its great being that close to them and seeing so many all day. :)

Its a pretty laid back office. Everyone is really nice and everyone gets a long well. (so far, at least... ;) )

I'm kind of tired, I worked from 9:30 to 12:00, then 12:30 to 6:00...I was going to go home at around 3 or 4, but I ended up staying later than that. ;) I'm not used to this working stuff!!! :D
