Swamp Kat

Tonight, for the first time ever, I spotted a strange stealthy creature swimming through my backyard...

As it lifted it's head for a breath of air, I quickly snapped a pic...

We let K'Cee outside for the first time tonight... she LOVES the grass! Had an absolute hay-day 'swimming' & stickin' her nose in it. What a nut! :D

LOL! Love that face!!! Makes me wish we had a swamp here in Kansas! Even our grass is dried up because of the heat. If it starts growing again, I'll keep an eye out. Maybe a swamp creature will glide by!:D

I was wondering the same thing, and aren't you in New Mexico even, like, where most of the state is desert-like? I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who would kill for a "swamp" like that. ;) :D

But it sure does contrast nicely with her gray and white. What a cutie. :D

Krissy is wonderful!

K'Cee is almost a year... her "gotcha" date is Nov. 7, 2002 and she was about 3-4 months old.

The Crocodile Hunter:
Whoa folks, you don't wanna go near these creatures!! Their powerful jaws can crush a bug, just like that!! And just look at those eyes watching your every move! They're fast on their feet and produce these long claws that can shred through a piece of paper like a hot knife through butter!! I tella folks, if you come across one of these creatures slinking through the grass you betta back away slowly and give them all the room they want!! They may look cute, but inside lies the unpredictable nature of the Lion!!

I can't help but keep looking at the Swamp Kat pics, and in these two her whiskers look like antennae sticking out, almost like a periscope or something, so she can keep track of what's going on above the grass.

She's such a character. You gotta admit Zippy, Sophi bunny sure did good by sending K'Cee your way. :D
