**new Family Member!*

ACK! I'm so beyond excitement, I've been in happy tears! Dear mom and I went to the local SPCA yesterday and guess what I did??? I rescued my newest family member... Since they were full, we had to take her unprepared, immediately!!! I thought I'd pass out... "She" is a GSD mix (Yo! LIZ!!!) with GR ears and some purple spots on her tongue. She is about 2, calm, sweet, can sit, down, and stay. I already walked her and taught her to heel which she did pretty good. Being outside sends her into a frenzy..previous owners crated her all day and she slept in a newspaper laid garage floor all night..they had no yard. I bought a crate and she hated it..so off it goes. I ignored her at night..made her "down" "sleep" and she was a perfect angel. Already my velcro dog, by my side fast asleep. When she "downs" she crosses her paws like a lady. I'm trying desperately not to pet her constantly. She did her stuff outside and got tons of praises and seemed to understand. No problems. Unlike my big galoot, she isn't interested in "treats" or people food, and that's the new house law too..... Ok, here's the best part... I had made a promise to my dear friend Logan that if I ever got another dog, she'd have a namesake...so....friends...LOGAN it is! And she responds to it already. Her birth name was Rocky. The neighbor took digitals last night, me in ponytail, no makeup and puffy crying eyes..He's gonna post them and then I'll email them off to you all..... Always wanted a GSD mix and I got my wish. Thank you God, Daddy, Cody and Nana for answering my prayers. I ought to pray more often...... Couldn't sleep..I am filled with absolute happiness. Sigh! My new best girlfriend....

Woo hoo!! Karen, when you called last night to give me the news, I was ALMOST as happy as you were! No, I think that's impossible!:D And like we assured you, you knew just when the first time would be and just who the right poochie would be!:) Logan (keeping them straight is going to be a hard one!;)) sounds like the most precious angel, sent from Heaven above! What a lucky, lucky doggie and what a lucky Mom! Me, Cody and Star wish you and Logan many, many, MANY years of love, laughter and HAPPINESS!! Congratulations to my dear friend! Give the sweetie a big hug and kiss from Auntie Sandra!:D And Karen, I know that Cody is looking down from the RB, so happy to see his Mommy smiling again! :)

Karen, that is the best news I have heard in long time!! Tears are starting because I am so, so, happy for you....:) Logan sounds absolutely wonderful and I can`t wait to see the pictures of her...happy dance, happy day!!

with excitement, of course, holding in this wonderful news until Karen could get on here herself!! I finally emailed her this morning and said "tell me when you have finally posted, otherwise, I'll be in Pet Talk every five minutes"! And I almost was!!!! :o

That phone call last night reduced me to a weepy mess, but thankfully a "cry for happy" (one of my favorite sayings)!!!!

I am honored and thankful that this precious girl has joined Karen and her mom!!! What a happy, happy day!!!! :)

Just had to come back again to read everybody else's posts on this super wonderful event. Where are all the superlatives when you need them. I'm stilling weeping with joy on this occurance.

A special thank you to Karen's mother, Blanche, who had some reservations about another dog in the house. I just know Logan will become your companion and protector for taking a chance on her. You'll see, you'll see!

Yay! Yay! Yay! New doggie to be a Pet Talk-spoiled girl! Now sweetheart Logan, don't you spoil your new momma toooo rotten, you'll make all the other canines around here look like slackers!

Apparently AOL and Hotmail are not friendly, so my neighbor just re-emailed them to me. I sent them to Logan, Rachel, Sandra, Pam and Jackie so one of them will post them. However, I was unable to view them so I probably look like crap, but just see the pupper! She has a male problem. Some SOB must have frightened or abused her. 3 kids from the hood stopped by and she went nuts until I held her and made her sit then it was OK. I walked her far tonight and flirted with 3 hunka-chunkas who came over and immediately knew she had a problem. They lowered themselves to her level, slowly spoke and petted and she was OK, but ran to me for protection. If I ever get my hands on whoever had her,,so help me. They lost out on a fabulous girl. I left the house and came back 2x..she went balistic running around. I had to take her and mom to the store with me. She's in the back of my SUV but tried to leap to the back seat and it really scared my mom so I have to work on this. Poor thing. Yet it;s only slightly over 24 hours. Otherwise she is great. Already enrolled her in Pet Insurance, Vet appointment and am trying to ctc my original trainer as I believe she has Monday night classes. Am aiming for therapy dog once she's over her hurdles. ANY SUGGESTIONS would be great....Candance....Aly.....anybody?? It's been a long time and Cody had no problems. She is sleeping by my side. Did nothing all day but sit with her-bad habit but I was SO NEEDY I couldn't help it. I know it was Daddy and Cody..I felt it..I believe in that stuff. That's why it happened so quickly. I had picked Wednesday..I just had a feeling...Thank you all for your love and well wishes! I am soo soo happy!!!

What a HAPPY DAY IN PET TALK TOWN, Karen I am so happy for you, and excited, and happy, what a sweetie she must be. Can't wait to see pictures of our Little Logan, lol. I couldn't open the pictures and asked Rachel to send them to me. You couldn't have picked a better name, I love it, Logan it is. lol

was so hectic & busy, that I didn't get to log in at all, This is my
first word of your happy news.:) Aw Karen, I am just thrilled for
you & for your new girl Logan. I actually read your first post on
her twice, before it really sunk in. LOL. I couldn't be happier.:D
I've already started to wonder what she looks like.The ears,
the eyes, everything, you know? Don't you just love those GSD
eyes, that intelligent look on their faces. Better quit blabbing
