Lily's Journey to Canada

Ok, its official! Lily will be arriving to her new mommy next Thursday.. just a little over a week away. She's got a little adventure ahead of her on that 12 hour plane flight, but my sister will be with her to make she she's okay.

It seems like just yesterday when she came to me with her leg in such bad shape, the vet was afraid it would fall off or need to be amputated :( But she's made a 100% recovery and is a strong, active little kitten :) She's brought such joy and comfort into my life and I'm having a hard time imagining how it will be without her.

There are not many people I would send one of my fosters out of the country for, but I am HONORED for our very own ScantyNebula to be adopting Lily. I'm so happy she'll be staying in the Pet Talk family and soooooo excited to be able to see pictures of her growing up with her new big brother, Toby.

:D Just thought I'd start this thread so Johanna and I can keep you updated until she's home!

I am HONORED that you would let me adopt her, she's a beauty .. I can imagine how hard it must be for you to give her up, but it won't be all that bad, you'll still get to see her grow up! Trust me, I have literally hundreds of pictures of Toby on this computer .. so I will make sure to take that many of Lily for you!

What a wonderful collage! :D I hate seeing the pic of her damaged leg :( so sad seeing kitties in that condition, and she looks so happy and healthy now!

I forgot to tell you, her birthday is March 23rd.

I might be a couple days off but it should be within a few days around there! :)

Win - win - win: Aly knows that Lily is getting a good home, Scanty Nebula gets a beauuuuuutiful kitty, and we get to see her grow up! :D

This is great news!!! :D I'm so glad that ScantyNebula will be adopting Lily. Now we can see her grow up. :)

That is so wonderful!! How neat that one of our very own angel Aly's fosters to be going to a PT mom! What an exciting adventure that lies ahead for her! I can't wait to hear about her trip and her arrival at her new mommy's!!

Lily melted my heart from the very beginning when I saw her poor pawsie -and now she's a real beauty and in her pix looks like quite a handful:) .

And Toby is the sweetest looking boy here at PT -he has this special nose that just calls for kissing. I am so glad that they will be together now and that we can hear many stories about them.

Oh, I am so excited for you!! A new kitten will be coming into the family! Lily's birthday and my Romeo's is close- Romeo's is March 19!
Romeo seen Lily's pictures, and he said she is soooo bootiful!
Of course I told Romeo he is too young for girls!!

This reminds me a little of when I picked up Gabe from Robyn and Pam in NJ. It was so darn exciting.

Here's how Lily will be traveling. There's not as much space as I thought there would be. Maybe I should take that bed out of there. But I really wanted her to be comfortable.

(Thats a cat carrier by the way, with see through sides! Don't want anyone to think I'm cramming her in a duffle bag, hehe)

This was very hard on SAS - and all of us - especially since dear Graemer joined Gabe at RB very soon afterwards, but it was such a heart warming story in the beginning, and we all fell in love with the Gabester, even with his surly attitude. ;) :)

Now...I can't believe I haven't seen this thread yet! 'Course I'm still getting caught up, but Toby getting a little sister! How exciting! And it's even more exciting because the little sister is Aly's own little Lily, who we've watched blossom and grow into a beautiful little girl.

Yipee! We get to watch Lily grow up! Yeah! Congratulations Johanna, and Aly, thanks so much for taking such good care of this little girl. She would not be the beautiful little Lily we know if not for you. :D

congrats johanna.....it is funny because i just registered today but i found your website early tjis week and was so impressed....i am an artist too...not graphic design...oils and blk/wht photograpy and loved your thumbnail pics and creativity......i'm 26 (an old lady;) )but was inspired by your talent.......i especially love the home videos set to music....and have an interesting idea of how to use videos like these to help adopt out pets from shelters...it has always been a dream of my to make a difference in homeless animals lives..since i obviously can not take them ALL in:D .....to create a website using a different tactic than just still pics and bios to increase animal adaoption.....i would love to learn some stuff from u.....i am kinda of a new schooler to the computer age....i guess i got on the bandwagon too late......i guess i was playing in the darkroom and with the easel too much:p anyway congrats .......you hold a high standard of talent as an artist and animal lover in my eyes:) ps - iwas the dorky one who just submitted my first post on positive reinforcement- i don't like anyone was interested:(
