Anyone up for a dog show in PA??

I missed it last year, and was so bummed, but I went to another one a few weeks later (where we met the people we got Kito from). This is held about 25 minutes from where I live, that's why I have been dying to figure out when it is.

It's actually Friday and Saturday, July 19. Dead in the center of Pennsylvania, not close to anything but State College. If anyone is interested in coming, I would love to meet you, and I can help you find hotels or whatever you need!!!!!!!

If no one can come, I'll still take lots of pictures!!

There will be another one probably about 2 weeks later near Williamsport, and then one in Allentown after that--I want to go to all of them, but I probably can't:(

I can't imagine why dogs wouldn't be allowed to go, it's an outside show!! I'm going to try and call and get some more information on the show!!!!!

When is the one in Allentown? (Sheesh ! I live there you'd think I'd know) I am only available on a Sunday though because of work schedule.

Lisa--of course I will remind you when it is closer!!! Maybe Jama and Tyra could come too!!!!

Jen--last year the one in Allentown was August 2, and it was a Friday (but it may have been a couple of days event)--I'll have to see if I can find out!! It was at Lehigh College (or is it University??)

I'm still planining on coming up! Can't wait. Me Nova and my dad will be there, maybe Abbey and Huney. We are staying at a KOA Camp ground near there in a cabin (with air conditioning, thank goodness!). Can't wait to meet you all!!!

I know the KOA you are staying at. It is over in Bellefonte correct? The people that own the place are very nice. I used to live in a travel trailer and stayed there for about a year. Much better than the Fort Bellefonte Campground just down the road. The owners there are not very pleasent people to say the very least.

We have the dog show on the tentative calender.

That is so great to hear! I just hate it when the people who own the campgrounds are mean.

I can't wait! I'm not sure how Nova will be feeling that weekend though, depends on if she is scheduled for Surgery on Wed's or not.

O that sounds like tons-o-fun, but like what is the show for does your dog have to know a trick or what? and also what does "bump" mean?:D :confused: :D

I have a 5 mo. old baby at home so it would depend on what kind of mood she's in. She's the queen of the household now. :D Do you have any more info? What time are the shows?

My husband and I are still considering coming. We don't have dogs at the moment but will one day. I am the chubby older blonde shoulder length hair 40 year old woman with a much slimmer hubby that has dark hair and a beard. I will be looking out for Nova. I am much better at recognizing dogs than humans :D

iI complelty understand! My dad will also be there, he will also have curly hair and its brown. Nova will be wearing a Blue Head halter and a green halter. If that helps at all.

I'm not sure I can make it tomorrow, I have to work in the morning--I'm not even sure what time it starts or ends--do you have any idea Ash??
I'll definitely be there Saturday, with my little Kito, but I don't know exactly what time yet.

I can't make it Saturday sadly :( I am goign to South Carolina and am leaving at 10 in the morning. I have no idea when it starts and ends. I will try to find out.

Here are directions..

From Interstate 80: Take Exit 24 (Bellefonte), then PA Route 26 South to Pleasant Gap (Allow extra time for construction.) Turn left onto Route 144 South through Centre Hall to Old Fort intersection. Turn right onto Route 45 West approximately 1/2 mile. Follow signs.

From the South: (Altoona) Take Route 220 North to Route 322 East. Follow Route 322 East around State College (Nittany By-Pass) to Route 45 East (Approximately 6 miles) towards Old Fort. Follow signs.

From the East (Harrisburg): Take Route 322 West to Route 144 North to Old Fort Intersection. Turn left on Route 45 West approximately 1/2 mile. Follow signs. (Allow Extra Time for Construction) DUE TO ROAD CONSTRUCTION, PLEASE ALLOW AMPLE TRAVEL TIME

I just got done reading the pet rescue section where I saw that a transport in the Pennsylvania area is needed for a 12 yr. old GSD for tomorrow. If I can assist in that, I will not be there tomorrow. Everything is up in the air now. If I do go, I'll be the one with a 6 yr. old girl who looks just like me and I'll be pushing the baby in the stroller. There is a picture of me (well part of me)with Dakota under his photo album.
